OCCUPIERS SHOULD ALL VOTE REPUBLICAN
Now that all the Occupy ___________ (fill in the blank) protests are starting to wain I’m wondering where all those people are going to go. I hope a few of them will wander into a Tea Party rally or actually read a book by a conservative author, because if you get right down to it, the Occupiers and conservatives have a lot in common.
The essential argument of all the Occupy protests is that the wealthy are getting to rich becuase the government is not regulating them enough. Extrapolate that on out to its logical conclusion and you’ll find that most Occupiers feel like the government is nothing more than a tool of the rich and powerful to opress and control the masses.
TAX REFORM: NOW IS THE TIME
Hermain Cain did more than any candidate, ever, to elevate the discussion about tax reform. His 9-9-9 plan brought attention to the reform of the tax code.
The devil is in the details and Cain’s was lacking in detail and specifics needed to score it for validity. It is, however, a great starting point.
Over the years flat taxers like Steve Forbes and others have talked about a 15 to 20% rate, eliminating all deductions. Fair taxers, like Mike Huckabee and others (Fair tax, consumption tax, VAT are pretty much the same national sales tax) have pretty much all talked about exceptions.
OCCUPY STUPIDITY
One of my favorite Far Side cartoons of all time was a picture of a parading group of protesters marching down the street, united arm-in-arm, holding a sign that said imbeciles untie….and the sign was upside down.
That should be the slogan for the Occupy Wall Street gang and their cohorts who have staged similar protests in other cities.
These morons have no idea why they are there. Their protesting “corporate greed” and politics as usual. Of course, they’re tweeting on their Iphones and Droids, supporting two of the greediest most monopolistic companies in the communications industry. Then they call for more government programs and spending. Imbeciles Untie!!!!
OBAMA’S OPPOSITES
Is it just me or does Obama say something then end up doing the exact opposite?
I watched his press conference where he was touting his “jobs program”, which is simply another tax and spend program. He said, paraphrasing, that he was not promoting class warfare and in the next sentence, promoted class warfare.
He said raising taxes during these economic times was absolutely the wrong thing to do….now he is proposing a tax increase.
He said his administration would be the most transparent in history, but it’s turned out to be one of the most secretive.
He rails against “crony capitalism” and says the rich should pay their fair share, but when his big donors promote a failed “green business” (Solyndra) his administration cooks the books, manipulates federal law, and quite possibly commits fraud to save his big donars millions and stick the American taxpayer with a bill for billions of dollars.
IOWA STRAW POLL DEBATE…WHO WON?
The Republican debate leading up to this weekend’s Iowa straw poll was the first real opportunity for all the candidates to earn their first semester grades. The LaughatLiberals.com report card is below. Please blog-in with your feedback.
My overall view of the debate was positive. It was my first real opportunity to see all the Republican candidates side-by-side, in full campaign mode and I was pleased with what I saw. There is quite a diversity of thought among these candidates and throughout the Republican family in general. From libertarian to interventionist conservatism, the GOP is THE party of ideas that can save our country from this economic mess we are in.
UNDERSTANDING POLITCAL BUDGET SPEAK
Nancy Pelosi says the debt ceiling debate is about the preservation of life as we know it on this planet. That is a quote. It is complete and utter hogwash, but a quote from her none-the-less.
To get your head around this debt ceiling debate you need to understand what all those talking heads and politicians are saying when they use certain words.
DEFICIT: The nation’s deficit is the difference between what we pay into the the federal government in taxes every year, roughtly $2.2 trillion, and what the beaurocrats in Washington spend, which is roughly $3.7 trillion and will go up every year.(see why below) That means we have to borrow $1.5 trillion just to make ends meet and next year, we’ll have to borrow more unless tax revenues go up.
HISTORY IS BEING MADE
The debt ceiling crisis could be a golden opportunity to reign in the growth of the federal government. I hope the Republican leadership is up to the task.
This is a watershed moment for our nation. Are we going to continue down the path towards an even more powerful, centralized federal control of all aspects of life, or are we going to return to the fundamental principles on which our country was founded? We are Democratic Republic of United States that has lost its way and allowed to much power to be concentrated in our federal government. It is that concentration of power that has created a political ruling class that sustains itself by growing its power at every turn.
DEMS DEBT CEILING FRAUD
Been a while since my last post but I’ve been following this debt ceiling/budget/tax revenue debacle and wanted to throw some items out there.
Obama said he was not sure if Social Security checks would go out if we didn’t raise the debt limit, right? First, isn’t Social Security supposed to be a trust fund? The way it’s supposed to work is the money gets taken out of your check, put in a trust fund and then when you retire you collect. Oh that’s right, our federal government has raided the trust fund to pay for everything else. So much for the “lock-box”. Secondly, we’ve heard the Democrats say over and over again that Social Security is sound. If that’s true, why would there be any problem with Social Security checks if we don’t raise the debt ceiling? That’s the problem with telling so many lies. Eventually you can’t keep them all straight.

All you speech majors know what the headline means, right? It’s a big fat rasberry. Doonesbury would have written as BBBpppppfffftttt! That’s about all I can say to the nattering nabobs of the left who dare even to speak regarding Obama’s handling of the uprisings in the Middle East and his foreign policy in general. The only exception is the consistent Mr. Wack-a-doodle, Dennis Kusininch. He’s an odd duck, but at least HE is being consistent and standing on principle.

WISCONS THUGS ARE NO TEA PARTY
Take a few minutes to watch the video below. Trust me, you will not see this in the main stream media because it doesn’t fit their liberal narrative. There is no video, not one, of any Tea Party protest that even approaches the vile and violent thugs in this video. As you watch, try to count how many faces appear to be teachers, firemen, policemen and public workers AND HOW MANY LOOK TO BE teenagers and college kids. UNION PAID PROTESTERS….ASTRO-TURF…DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE. Walker is right and the majority of Wisconsin is behind him.

Clinging to power, Gaddafi is murder citzens in the street. His henchmen are driving around in ambulances, firing weapons at protestors. This is the same Gaddafi and the same Libia that was awarded a seat on the UN Security Council, the premiere world body dedicated to preserving peace.
According to Bill Mahr and others of his ilk, it’s always the right, the “Teabaggers” who are the ones with the violent, hateful rhetoric, nasty posters and racist hate speech, THEREFORE, all of those protestors in Wisconsin must be Tea Party members….Makes sense, right?
THE LIBERAL’S PROBLEM WITH DEMOCRACY
In Wisconsin, Gov. Walker, then candidate Walker campaigned on the platform of cutting state spending. He specifically said he would deal with the state employee pay and benefit crisis by proposing greater financial participation on the part of state workers in their benefits and by ending collective bargaining for state employees.
He included this in his platform after watching previous Democrat administrations in his state ignore the looming fiscal crisis and use stimulus funds to balance the general budget. They also rammed through tax increase legislation in less than 36 hours, that totaled more than a billion dollars. The Republican minority opposition stood together and voted against these measures.

SNOWMAN ANCHOR BABIES
After being arrested as an undocumented worker, Inita Colon, an illegal alien from Guatamala, has filed suit In a suit in Federal Court claiming citizenship status because she built a snowman on the front lawn of her Detroit Michigan apartment complex.
The suit, filed today, claims that the snowman is a new member of the Colon family that was “born” on U.S. soil, therefore entitling Ms. Colon to full rights of citizenship under the so-called “anchor-baby” provision of current immigration law. Heywood Jablome, attorney for the petitioner is asking for an immediate hearing. “My client is only asking to do what millions of other American’s have already done.”, said Jablome.
The obvious question is what makes Ms. Colon think a snowman is the same thing as a baby? Her lawyer, speaking through an interpreter, said the Supreme Court has never ruled when life begins so they feel this could be a landmark case that could make it all the way to the highest court in the land. When asked what would happen to their case once the weather started getting warmer and the snowman melted, Jablome responded, “That’s why we’re asking for a speedy trial.”
KARL ROVE: Head Snapping Hypocrisy From Reid and Obama On the Debt Ceiling
FOX News:
Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid has recently attacked Republicans over the upcoming vote on raising the debt ceiling, saying, “We can’t back out on the money we owe the rest of the world. We can’t do as the Gingrich crowd did a few years ago, close the government.”
Senator Reid joined Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who on behalf of the Obama administration warned Republicans that, “Failure to increase the limit would be deeply irresponsible.”
