Jessie Jackson’s help:
It doesn’t get any better than this:
Jessie Jackson has added former Chicago democratic Congressman Mel Reynolds to the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition’s payroll.
Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton’s last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud and lies to the Federal Election Commission.
He is more notorious, however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.
This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate…won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate…then was hired ! by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate.
His new job? Youth counselor.
IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT

This is the damage left behind by Clinton. His perjury along with the liberal
“Just Throw Sugar on Sh*t? Policy has enabled public figures to be adulterers, pedophiles and liars and still be respected. Love this website. I feel sad for Zoot Potatoe, he wastes so much of his time fighting people on this site. Thats just sad

When you have a party that re-elects Marion Barry two or three times does any of this surprise people. The liberals have succeeded in dumbing down anything that used to pass for standards and they get away with it because we have a liberal press that is morally bankrupt.
zoot potatoe Says: September 23rd, 2004 at 1:55 am
it is indeed, rather sad.
being only, at most, in 4th grade at the time, the only thing I remember mostly about clinton are his sex scandles (of course) and his inability to let go of the white house.
Now, I have heard of the many tiny “Scandals” the gop tried to come up with to take down the first liberal president in 12 years. Travelgate, chinagate, and of course “Indogate”, but they seemed like nitpicky things that paranoid conservatives came up with (of course, there’s indogate, but Dole was getting illeagle cash, so it seems hipocritical)..
but this one, with “bimbogate” (I love trying to make gate scandal names :D), seems doesn’t seem like a small thing… in fact, it seems worse then the adultury case (does sex life really effect what you politically do as president? Rudolph Guliani comitted adultury as well, yet his bravery durring 9/11 easily far outshadows this to that hardly any of this (don’t get me wrong, I highly respect Rudolph, i’m just making a point)
While this man as i’ve searched is the biggest pardon, I’ll want to continuing checking this out. If it’s one man among a ton of nobodys, or if there is a major loophole or good reason as to why Clinton did this, I’ll find the way to support his cause… but it’s not looking too good

Derk, your the one that’s making crap up, look here and here
Do a search in yahoo for “Sarin gas warheads in found in Iraq”. Funny how these stories never made the headlines in the liberal media. “WMD found” might take all the steam out of your “No-WMD” lie.

Serb Says: January 10th, 2005 at 3:03 pm
You can be anti-guns and anti-war and still be moderate, or even Republican. I myself am anti-gun, but I usually agree with the Republican candidate. I consider myself a moderate, however.

I know this has been asked before, but until I get an answer, Where exactly is “Reverend” Jessie Jackson’s church? What ever happened to Democrats like FDR who were about helping and improving life for the common man? How does promoting open homosexuality, abortion, and making our nation into the UN’s bitch help our African American community?
Bonniem Says: March 19th, 2005 at 9:01 pm
Ryon, from talking to people older than I (tho not by much) I am told that the Republican and Democratic parties have changed so over the last 50 years or so that many who used to be Democrats (in the “olden” days) have switched over and vice versa. Obviously the parties and their values have changed over the years and who knows — maybe if FDR were alive to day, he might have switched also.

JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY JESSIE IS WITH CHAVEZ WHILE HIS “PEOPLE” ARE LOOTING NEW ORLEANS. DOES JESSIE GET A KICKBACK. I GUESS JESSIE IS USING THE CHAVEZ TRIP AS HIS ALIBI. I CAN TELL IT IS A LIBERAL THING BECAUSE SEN.LANDRIEU OF LOUISIANA SAID SHE DOESN’T CONDONE LOOTING BUT SHE UNDERSTANDS. NOT ONLY DO LIBERALS TAKE ALL MY MONEY TO GIVE TO THE LAZY PEOPLE. NOW THEY SAY IT’S OK TO STEAL WHAT THEY WANT. HEY GREAT IDEA; WHY DOESN’T MARY LANDRIEU MOVE SOME OF THE NEW ORLEANS REFUGES INTO HER BIG HOUSE. IT’S OK MARY I’M SURE THEY WON’T STEAL ANYTHING.

JAM4LAM,
First, your caps lock key is on. That makes it hard to read your drivel. Second, if you don’t like welfare you would hate the fact that the government gives $171 billion a year to farmers (most of them are giant corporate farmers who are very rich) and $16 billion of your tax dollars just went to subsidize oil companies. Oil companies just had their most profitable year in history, with companies like Exon making $25 billion in profits in the last 3 months alone. So while you get gouged on fuel and food costs, the biggest government give-aways are going straight to the richest companies in the world. Think about it.
Circe Says: September 1st, 2005 at 2:01 am
JAM4LAM,
You probably already know that when Clinton entered office about 5% of the population received welfare. When he left office, 2% of the population were receiving welfare. His welfare reform program worked more effectively to put the poor back to work than any initiative in history. Too bad it didn’t go after corporate welfare which is sucking insane amounts of money out of tax payer’s pockets.
Joy Says: September 5th, 2005 at 9:05 pm
Circe,
I’m wondering, were those rich-benefiting subsidies cut under Clinton?
Anna Says: September 6th, 2005 at 4:37 pm
Joy,
Not much. But benefits to the rich and to corporations have been expanded to obscene levels under Bush. The country is run by the super rich for the super rich. The middle class is hurt the worst and any middle class person who supports Bush’s economic policies is uninformed, misinformed, demented, or (and) enjoys being shit on.
Joshuatree28 Says: September 8th, 2005 at 9:05 pm
Circe -
The welfare reform programs were designed by the republicans, not the democrats. Go check out the actual legislation. Clinton may take the credit, but he never takes the blame… ( I don’t know what happened to all the levee money I had put aside during my administration……)

Got it. Retro news in action. Didn’t know about this one…
According to Amelia Feathers and Margaret Toal of the The Orange Leader,
in Orange, Texas:
“Orange Police officer J.B. Warner arrested Wiltz at 10:53 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16,(2003) for failure to yield right of way, failure to stop and give information, no driver’s license, no liability insurance and disorderly conduct.
‘I know I was wrong for leaving the scene of an accident, but I didn’t deserve to be beat,” Wiltz said. “It’s not fair what they did to me.’”
“…The Orange Police Department video and audio tape recording of the arrest show Warner and Wiltz talking for about 40 minutes before he was arrested. Wiltz is walking around for several minutes using his cell phone.
He denied he was in an accident and said someone else was driving the El Camino.
Wiltz was wearing a sleeveless muscle shirt and Warner reported Wiltz had chest and shoulder bruises like those from a car safety belt during a collision.
The accident damaged the passenger side of the El Camino. Derrick Marks, 28, of Orange, said his 1992 Honda Acura is a total wreck after the collision. Marks went to the restaurant after the wreck while police were there. He said Wiltz appeared to have been drinking and cussed at him. Police reported the cursing.”
“…Wiltz did not file a complaint until Monday, 12 days after the arrest. White said Wiltz had made appointments with the chief deputy but had not kept them.
Orange Police Chief Sam Kittrell said he talked to Wiltz’s brother the day after the arrest and told him the procedures for filing a complaint, but no one filed the complaint. Kittrell said Wiltz even went to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital a couple of days after the arrest, but did not wait to be examined for his injuries.”
The above are chosen quotes. The article in it’s entirety is in The Orange Leader archives.

#24. Yes. It’s called “OW”.
“Overexposed Wannabes”. Clinton still belongs to this organization. In fact, Jesse and Willy are co-presidents of it.
