Im so upset Bush won, I thought my last minute Michael Moore/ Fergy like message would make America vote for Kerry. I guess I cant manipulate them with fear like I did the Spainards. Those damn independent Americans ignored the sentimate of the world (at least those countries that had a contrary financial or political interest). Well I will phone Edwards now and tell him not to accept the verdict in Ohio. Oh ya Kerry is singing “Blinded by The Light.”
You were manipulated. Bin laden issued a statement in April declaring that he would prefer a Bush America, since Bush has done such a fine job of isolating and alienating the US from its allies as well as creating new recruits for Bin Ladens jihad. His statement last week was no more sophisticated than the reverse psychology parents regularly employ on their children and bought it hook, line and sinker!
Bush’s victory was a huge win for this country because it came in the face of the liberal media’s blatant attempt to annoint his competitor. This is good even for you, Ferguson.
Actually, to be honest, I don’t think Bin Laden much cares. I think he means what he says when he says (paraphrasing) ‘Don’t tread on me and I won’t tread on you.’ and doesn’t much care whether we choose truce or more terror on both sides.
The key to our long-term security is a permanent and satisfactory solution to the Israel-Palestine dispute along the 1967 border (or a very close approximation thereof), a global commitment to non-proliferation (including a US commitment) and respect for international law (including by the US.)
This administration has failed at all 3 components and will continue to do so. A Kerry administration would have done better at points 2 & 3, but both Kerry and Bush favored a far too Israeli-friendly foreign policy stance.
Yes of course im upset Bush won. So upset I tried to use Moores own statement to defeat the great satan Bush. Im going to send Moore an invitation to al Queda training camp right now as he needs to loose some weight. I love that guy (in a Allah approved way). Also Mr. Fergisun predicted Kery “In a landslide” I supppose JD was right and the media was really in the tank for us, i mean Kerry after all. Well now the evil Bush will continue to support Isreal and let that bastion of democracy live in the otherwise dictatorial middle east. D*mn. With the great Kerry we could continue the Clinton policy of claiming peace while selling out Isreal, where is Mady Albright when we need her, yes? I love that stunted delusional dwarf. Anyway Im so upset by evil bushes victory im going to kill some virgins.
Do you really think that John Kerry was going to do anything different in Iraq? “I will train more Iraqi soldiers (Bush is doing it).” He is completely for a free Middle East, and yet prefers the stability of a tyranny over the momentary instability on the path to freedom. I do not believe that Bush is the smartest fellow to ever hold office, but he is far smarter than Kerry, and he knows what he’s doing. Kerry’s Senate record does not reflect well on his character and I think the Bush campaign did well to emphasize that. The people need to know what Kerry stands for in order to vote for him, and in all honesty, no one knows from one day to the next.
I guess your rank means you’re the night manager at Long John Silvers. The fact that you responded to my other posting about the lack of conservative blowhards putting there money where there mouths are with a 35 year old cliche tells me what I need to know about you. Do you spend your free time in the basement of your mom’s house looking at internet porn while you masturbate?
As I have written my dear Liberal Frind in the UK
Just as you do not change planes in mid air, nor do you change Presidents in mid war.
Am I glad Bush won, you bet I am, look at the other choice, I mean really look at the other choice. I have nightmares that Bush lost, and boy are they bad nightmares, and actually they are very much what would now be about to take place.
Voted for Bush and Proud to say I did
YES, YES YES YES
nothing worst than a female republican activist…
ever heard of hypocrisy? Bush was in Canada this week and we greeted him with the good finger…
when 80% of Canada is against you, ask yourself some questions.
Just a quick question for all yall Bush believers:
How do you see the US army getting out of IRAQ?
Timeline? Do you see the violence ending any time soon? US casualties are increasing each month…If I was a REAL patriotic american I would be massively pissed off!! Put yourself in the shoes of a 18 year old US soldier…I’D be in Montreal Canada on the McGill University campus asking for political asylum……
The purpose of going into Iraq is not to protect the coalition or see how fast it can get out. I ask, how soon do you think we can see Iraqis enjoying the fruits of a stable democracy now that a terrorst-friendly dictatorship has been removed.
Right, and terrorist-friendly popular support is now the name of the game.
But otherwise, I think your assessment is correct. I’m a liberal, and I have a great deal of problems with the war, but I will buy Powell’s “Pottery Barn” metaphor. It would be recklessly irresponsible to pull out of Iraq. I just believe that our current approach needs to be re-thought. Look how the Brits have been engaging with the Iraqi populace and compare it to the American experience. The Brits adopt the “softly, softly” approach, and use jeeps instead of armoured APC’s and tanks, and don more casual military attire, as opposed to the full-battle gear worn by American personel. The Iraqi populace is far more receptive to the British approach, as it seems far less totalitarian, militant, etc.
chill: We won’t leave Iraq for a long while. We didn’t go it there to just up and leave. We will continue to train Iraqi troops and when they can handle it we will probably pull back to our brand new base we will build in the desert. We didn’t expend all this effort and suffer all those casualties simply for the good of the Iraqi’s although the benefit will be mutual.
Ya”ll are funny! You really think the Bush administration will stick in Iraq until they have a beautiful rainbow over Baghdad and they’ll have a fair democracy with no corruption and a big Walmart…please!! This is not a 4 year process!
I laugh at the idea of elections…at least at the present time. The truth is that this administration didn’t have a clue of what was gonna be the post war Iraq. They thought the people would be with them and support the army like liberators…mmmmmm…this country (US)is being handled by a handful of men, who are suspect individuals at best…they have hurt international relations even with Canada (beef, one sick cow geez!! they blocked everything a 5 billion dollar industry + lumber )…in Ottawa last week a protest took place where people made a statue of Bush just like the one they knocked over of saddam in Baghdad and they pulled down the bush statue….and thats in Canada!!! Open your eyes!!!!!!!!!

Hi JD, congratulations on your apparent victory.
I would love to be wrong about the prospects our country faces under a 2nd George W Bush administration and sincerely hope that I am.
If I’m not, being able to say ‘I told you so’ will be little consolation.
