Not CBS AGAIN!!

Ok, after the Dan Rather’s “fake documents” round, you would think that CBS would have been more careful than any other network…for awhile anyway. But NOOOO! Turns-out that CBS had intended to air the story that Bush failed to guard Al Qaqaa weapons stockpile. That would have been 36 hours before the election. That would have been so close that there would not have been time to show just how untrue the story was! But, thanks to their partner, The New York Times, stabbing them in the back to scoop them, we find-out with enough time for the WHOLE story to come out. Kerry hasn’t changed his story yet! He’s sticking to it. Let me see if I’ve got this right. A man who has spent months calling Bush a liar. Saying that there were no WMDs in Iraq, and that there is no connection between Iraq and the terrorists, is now saying that Bush is to blame for not guarding those weapons and that they might now be in the hands of terrorists!!??

  1. At this point the liberals don’t care if it is true or not. They are going to run with everything they can. 60 Minutes plan to blast Bush at the last minute is not new. Two days before the first gulf war they ran a report claiming our high tech weapons would all fail and our Apache helicopters were junk and would crash in the desert. They have no shame.

  2. If almost 400 tons of weapons disappeared in the few months leading up to the Iraq war, do we still insist that Sadam’s regime did not hide their weapons of mass destruction right before the war? Less than one tenth of that amount of biological or chemical munitions would be sufficient to kill millions of Americans.

  3. Look for the Halloween surprise coming from the media which will be another story critical of Bush, false of course, that will come out with little time to correct. I expect 2 out of the 3 networks (abc, nbc, cbs) to have such a bomb right now bearely able to contain themselves in eager anticipation.

  4. I usually post as “steve” but apparently, there is more than one :). Incidentally, I’d think it’s be an interesting exercise to see which of the 2 networks exactly has the bombs. I’d guess CBS and NBC, CBS for obvious reasons, and NBC because they were the most anti-bush during the debate coverage (something like 70% comments pro-kerry, 30% pro-bush). Plus, ABC has KABC, and that station is full of conservative talkshows… that may be enough to sway ABC away from “pulling a funny”.

  5. Another comment, maybe the moderator can make this a post?? REPUBLICAN PARTY PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP ON CALIFORNIA!!! IT’S ALMOST CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE IN PLAY!!! I would love to see this state go red, anybody who has any sway at all, please tell as many people as you can to get California to vote Republican! That’s right. I’d love to see Kerry lose California. All the pundits going “it’s so close…” then “we got the numbers in for California… 52 electoral votes for…. (theatrical suspense)… BUSH!!!!” That would finish Kerry off. Oh please oh please, someone make my state golden again! Lol… well red.

  6. Doesn’t California have 55 electoral votes?

Haha, I cannot believe that Kerry is actually campaigning in Virginia. We’re so conservative, oh boy, we’ve voted red for the last.. what, forever?

  7. So, you don’t think the “missing explosives” is the October Surprise? Kerry is running with it before all the facts come out. Of course that is par for the course. Serbian N. lets hope he does waste his time in Va. or other states where there is no chance for him. LOL

  8. Drudge has a piece on the Russian’s help move alot of weapons out of Iraq right before the war. A good read.

  9. Unfortunately unless somebody can find a dress with Dan Rathers DNA on it the MSM won’t give any ground on this missing weapons story. Too close to the election now.

  10. test

  11. I’m all for disarming all dangerous regimes in the world but no arsenal in the world can realisticly touch the USA..it would be suicide for the other nation so Saddam was never a threat.. I’m pretty pissed off the election isn’t about us!!! We have sooo many problems right here..let’s solve them!! And let’s try to understand why 9/11 happened!! and believe me it’s not because ”they hate our freedom”….this is such a ridiculous comment!

  12. I’m also concerned by some info on the first Gulf War. We went to war on the basis that there were some 250 000 Iraqi troops on the border of Kuwait near oil fields ready to invade with tanks etc…
The US government said they had satellite pics of this (never shown to us)…but a Russian satellite recorded pics of the same areas and they showed nothing. NOBODY??? Can anybody explain…we should have more intergrity than this…

  13. ‘’they hate our freedom’’

Actually, Republican, this isn’t such a ridiculous statement. Think about it this way - requiring a woman rape victim to produce four male witnesses - Muslims of good character - if bringing a complaint about a rape, the raped woman is required to bring four witnesses - Muslims of good standing in the community - to testify for her. Failure to do so would result in the woman instead being accused of adultery, an offense punishable by flogging.

When someone tells you that they “hate our freedom,” what they are telling you is that, due to the fact that we are a democracy and not a theocracy, we do not follow Muslim law and therefore do not have the radical laws that they do and they find that offensive. Most Muslims, of course, do not hate us for the fact that we are free from certain restraints set upon them due to the fact that they live under a supreme mortal and that religious law is enforced through force, but the radicals do.

  14. I agree that the muslim law doesn’t respect the freedom that people (mostly women) should have and that redicals don’t want their society to transform in a more modern way. But we have to see it from their point of view…if I had grown up in Iraq and I was 25 years old..I would have seen so many deaths, I mean atrocious deaths, poverty etc…loss of life over there isn’t like it is here…I’m pretty sure I’d be aggresive towards the American way of doing things…

  15. Republican 4 ever (not) Why do liberals always think they can pass themselves off as conservatives then proceed to spew liberal propaganda?

  16. ok JD…do we have to be on the same side on everything? C’mon, there are republicans like me that really want to know what’s going on! Propaganda?? I think you watch Tucker Carlson too much!! I,m here to discuss views but only Serbian seems to be interested…
I’m a republican but I don’t support Bush at all…is that so wrong?? I just won’t believe everything he says….have you ever travelled? Well if you do you’ll realize that we’re the laughingstock of the world right now…we went from having the world’s compassion to have a most people hate us for our foreign policies…it wasn’t always like this…we are a proud country and a great country and we could do sooo much better…It’s hard to be a republican and have Bush as a leader, I don’t believe in him and I don’t believe his motives (Cheney too with Halliburton etc…). It’s time to have a great president…I,m not saying Kerry is the answer but maybe a guy like McCain would be more suited for the job…but please admit that W Bush is not performing!! please!!!

  17. First I dont want to usurp the Steve thats already been on here so I will move over for “older steve” and he can claim hegemony over that moniker. Now as for California; if you think Bush can win that state I have one question for you: where do you buy your crack? Instead Bush needs to concentrate on the swing states as he is doing. Now, 4 rep4ever I dont like Bush that much. I think bush is vulnerable on his flagrant spending and I am a social liberal. However for the reasons I don’t like his spendy fiscal policy Kerry is worse on every economic count, so I cant vote for that pandering a$$clown. Also Kerry seems to have no character and looks to the polls before he makes up his self-aggrandizing mind. I also like Bush’s foreign policy hardline in instilling a presence in the middle east. Lastly Rep4Ever, I have traveled to about 35 countries and you, and the other libs fear of our appearance overseas is not only overblown and misplaced but largely untrue. If we are doing the right thing do you care what the jealous Germans may think? Should you? And it hasn’t been my experience that we are that unpopular overseas except with the haters that get their grills in front of the camera to bitch. Oh ya a lot of ignorants hate the states but do we won’t the approval of borderline retards and uneducated blow hards? I think you should look to other places for your self-worth then German and French pieholes. Besides what did we do to France and Germany to make them so mad other then superseded the two dominant oil interests in Iraq before our attack: magically France and Germany. Wow what a coincidence? Its funny how the libs want to be loved and accepted so much by their foreign brothers that they will do what ever it takes to make them love us, even if its plain wrong. Right isn’t always popular.

  18. Also does anybody really think Rep4ever is really a Republican or just another democrat infiltrator trying to seem acceptable by calling himslef a rep? I just wonder, because you dont have to like bush but this guy sure pushes all the feel good liberal hot bottons (foreigners hate us, Halliburton etc) which make me think hes aup to hijinx and shennanigans.

  19. To quote Pirates of the Caribbean..

“Everyone’s thinkin’ it, [you’re] just sayin’ it.”

  20. I have to listen to the music closer next time on on the ride, I never realized it was so meaningful - nice quote!

  21. So now I see they have Brad Pitt (who is not an actor he just plays one on tv) out giving his two cents on stem cell research. What’s the matter was Jessica Simpson busy?

  22. Springstein was too busy playing for Kerry to give out liberal panphlets.

  23. Why is it that so many people still believe in Dan Rather ? This guy is a punk ! He lied for years that he was a U.S.Marine then the truth came out , he was in boot camp for two weeks , then he went home to mama!

  24. Is Dan Rather POTUS? George Bush is a liar and a war criminal. He is neither compassionate, nor conservative. He is a fascist.

  25. Who cares about “Their point of view” I dont really give a shit about how they feel. I may seem mean and all, but when american lives are at stake, I could care less “they they feel”.

Now I’m not saying that we should completely ignore their feelings, only in wartime.

I’ll listen to what India or Japan or South Korea has to say about their people any day and listen to how they feel. But with people like those in the middle east (not all of them) I really don’t care how they feel.

  26. No, Kinch, I don’t think you sound mean. We really don’t have to change the way we govern to suit someone who has ideas completely opposite of ours. That is like giving up principles and/or morals to be popular.

  27. Us dems arent the only people who “lie and cheat” you keep attacking Kerry without having a good defense.

  28. WE all are in deep sh*t if conservitive republicans stay in office because they are like the nazis, a fascist.

  29. Well, Dems rule, you better get your Dems on the ball and come up with something that registers with the majority of the voters.

  30. Besides, Dems rule, you might think about changing your screen name for a few years.

  31. Dumb Ass! Of course Iraq had weapons. Just not weapons of mass destruction, as Bush claimed. Saddam’s stock piles of conventional high explosive weapons was quite large, but not as large as that of many other countries in the gulf region. Unfortunately, Bush and company were so f*cking excited about focusing all of their efforts on securing the Oil Ministry and oil fields that they did not secure a large portion of the conventional weapons stock piles. Now insurgents are using those weapons to kill our soldiers, Iraqi citizens, and are probably exporting them to be used against Americans on our own soil. Our world is a far more dangerous place now than it was before Bush and his retarded team took office and absolutely fucked everything up.

  32. In reply to republican 4 ever - Look at it from this perspective, sure human rights are
severly curtailed for blacks, but if were 25 years old in 1866, and grew up in Mississippi
having seen so much atrocious death and destruction (burning of Atlanta, bomb pit at
Fredricksburg, etc), perhaps I would have a burning hate for yankees and their way of doing
    things - just cogitating

  33. The last time republican 4 ever visited this site was 2 years ago.

P.S. This is a dead blog.
