THE LETTER TO EUROPE
I received “The Letter to Europe” from someone who writes on this site.
I sent it to a dear friend living in London, and just received his response.
I was just wondering if anyone would like to read the thoughts of a person living in Europe, as in relation to that which we believe.
If so, just respond, enough responses, and I will Post
Otherwise, it will be on my website by tomorrow,
This person is very aware of current events, very informed, educated, and I think his words should be at least, read.
I believe that it is important for us to know the thoughts of those living in Europe.
Europe thinks it is important to know the thoughts of Americans!

Go ahead and post it, I’m curious as to what your friend thinks.
Suzanne Katz Says: December 13th, 2004 at 10:12 pm
He Serb National,
Well someone who is interested in what Europe has to say, actually, as I have put it all together, I think it is so long and there are several articles from Europe’s Newspapers, and some other things this person has sent me. So what I am saying is if I posted it on this site, it would take up way too much room. I am however in the middle of putting it on my web site, and will be finished today. There are several links to follow and it is important that if you go and read that you also follow all the links and read, after you have read everything, I think it will give you something to think about. I have not put any comments from myself, only from this person.
So give me say till Wednesday and I will be finished. As there is a lot of very interesting facts, including Past events in Europe in relationship to today’s events in the US. I am doing this not saying that I do or do not agree with the Reply from Europe, as I stated I am not including my comments. Only those from Europe. It is up to the person reading to come to their own decision.
But you do need to know, I know this person well, and he is very much aware of the American way of Politics, and also those of Europe, You can believe his statements as to being not just his opinion, but from research.
Next, I wish to thank you for being interested. I am thrilled that an American is interested in the thoughts and fears of our European neighbors.
One must remember Europe has experienced Major Wars on their soil, where we have not. Therefore, they look into the past and learn from the mistakes in choosing leaders, (or some countries do, if they have a choice.

The Reply from Europe to the Open Letter to Europe is up.
either go to my web site home page and follow the links, or to go direct to that page us this link
http://flowersinmyhair0.tripod.com/id26.html
The following was taken from one of the emails I have received from this person, and Yes this person is a friend of mine in the UK
“We over this side of the Atlantic feel about America a little like close dear friends of a woman feel when she is dating a totally unsuitable no-good dude.
We try to be pleasant and say the right things, but we ache for her to dump him, so we can tell her why we really disapproved of him, and what he was really up to, and all the bad habits he was leading her gradually into.
And how it could really have ended tragically if she can continue the liaison.
But, what I think you will find very interesting is the Reply. Please take the time to go and read. I spent a lot of time putting all of the material on my site, as feel it is important that as Americans, we also understand our Friends from across the Pond

Concerned American Says: December 22nd, 2004 at 4:55 am
Ummmmmm What the hell??? Did you just get like Europes biggest Liberal to reply to your letter? I would love to sit down and talk with this “highly educated gentleman” but I dont like wasting my time. Umm where to begin on this insane reply…..
To the 1st reply— WOW! Comparing America to German, and Bush to Hitler. When I read that I knew thats all I needed to know about this “edecuated idiot”. A minor side note if it hadent been for “Fascist America” in the 40′s this guy’s country would be speaking German. But go ahead and sweep that under the rug, we (America) are the enemy! Whatever….
Reply 2— First off is this guy a British soldier cause how does he know what “ALL” British Soliders say? Hes making blind assertions (he does it all the way through his whole reply) with just a little bit of truth in it because a Lie with a little bit of truth in it is alot easier to belive then an outright lie. Hitler said something of that matter once (kinda like John Kerry). I also love this guys quote of “Lovely wonderful American kids are blasting away at any Arab face in Iraq”. Ummm did i miss something or what? Calling the most powerful Military force in the world “kids” shows this persons ignorance.
And as far as Micheal Moore being anti-American, is so stupid. Moore is actually quite smart. He took advantage at opening his big mouth at the right time and got rich by doing so. I really dont even think he believes what he (or his movie) portrays, because he publicially voiced his frustration with John Kerry and the Democrat Party. Michael Moore took advantage of all the lemmings in America, Europe and acroos the world. Kudos Micheal Moore quite the buisnessman! (no just for the record I am not a Micheal Moore supporter but I understand that hes just excersing his freedom of speech).
Reply 3— LOL OMG! Man you can pay for the person on the corner that has a drug habit, because I work way 2 hard for my money to give it away like free candy. I will not support somebodies habit that is more than capable of bringing home a paycheck but is to lazy too. But hey I dont blame them why work when the Government and good, honest working people will pay for you to sit on your can at home and indulge in whatever drug you fancy! Yea sounds like a great system huh? Oh wait no i hate people because I dont want to give my money away that I worked for right? It just dosent make sense…
I wont even begin on the religion topic because here in America we have the freedom to belive in what we will. And thats the way it should be left.
As far as my reply to the rest of the “Reply” goes like this: This person obivously has some strong convictions which I believe are a good thing. I also strongly believe that this person is wrong in many (not all, good call on the U.S. Dollar) areas. I do not have the time to continue to dissect this persons statements but I look forward to the replies I will get. By the way I dont believe that Liberals are stupid, its just they know so much that isnt so. One from the Great Communicator….
Please forgive all typos =)

Just as my friend has the right to his opinion, so do you. The reason I put it on my site, is if we are going to be fair, and send such a letter to Europe then they have the right to respond.
Now, in response to comparing Bush to Hitler, what you must remember, we as Americans have never been invaded by a foreign nation. Europe has. Therefore, this is in the memory, and this is why that statement. I guess there are just enough signs, that have created such thinking.
No, he is not in the military, and yes our children are blasting away at people why because our children are at war in Iraq.
Now, I do not remember any statement about drug users staying at home to do drugs and the government paying for it. Where did you come up with that statement?
It is clear you did not read with an open mind.
I am not saying I agree with everything he wrote, but before we call all of Europe, “Are you out of your minds” then we wonder why we are loosing our European friends, could it just be, because they do not believe exactly as we do, therefore they are lesser, and we are better.
Just as in America, we have the right to voice our thoughts, so do they, and those were his thoughts. He has the same right to voice his as you do yours.
Now, with your permission, I would like to post your comment on my site, as there will be another link to all comments.
But most important, I thank you for taking the time to read the Reply from Europe, even if you are the only one who does so, it made the work of putting it on the site worth while,
Thanks
Suzanne

I wonder, does anyone realize our news is being censored?
The above statement is a fact in truth; now, my question -, who is doing the censorship and why are the news media accepting this censorship?
If you do not believe me, go online and pick any newspaper around the world, and read about the war in Iraq, read the front page, you might be surprised at what is being left out of our news. My favorite is London’s “The Guardian” if you look into the archives of this newspaper, you will find a survey that was done in about 7 or so countries, as to what they feel about Americans, and America.
All of the Countries stated that they liked the American People, were quite fond of us to be exact.
Though they strongly disliked our Government – with the exceptions of Israel, Mexico, and I think Canada; those three approved of both the people and the government.
I do understand that a lot of this dislike is due to misinformation, the inability to understand our way of government; the basic principles behind our actions.
One needs to be an American, to fully understand these basic facts to understand our way of government.
Though this has nothing to do with the news being censored; what happened to Freedom of the Press?
I am very concerned, loose one Freedom then loose another, and then another. No one seems to be saying anything, Why not?
This has never been the way of America in the past, now we only get the news which is approved by someone for us to see.
If you do not believe me, then your head must be hidden under a blanket.

Suzanne, You are obviously deluded. Read the papers around the world and you get their view. Their slant. Read the papers in America and you get mostly anti-bush liberal news, with few exceptions. The problem is the News is not reported , it is editorialized.
BonnieM Says: December 23rd, 2004 at 2:47 pm
By the Way, Suzanne, It is tough that Europe doesn’t like us – but why should we change our ways to suit Europe? You said it yourself, they don’t understand our form of government and the way we do things. I believe the difference started way back at the Boston Tea Party.
Elise Says: December 23rd, 2004 at 2:49 pm
No, Suzznne, Europe doesn’t think it is important to know the way we think. They have their minds made up and think it is important that we think the way they do.
Maverick Says: December 24th, 2004 at 1:03 am
Hey Suzanne,
I have 2 agree with pretty much everything Concerned American said. I read the “Reply” on your website and I think its insanity. Personally I really dont care if our “Friends” (Friends who dont back us up on our war against terror and slander our name, but yet if they need help who do they call? France? Iam sure…) agree with what we do. This is America and Americans decide what goes on here not Europeans. If they want to have their say on what America does then they can move over here and become a citzen. We vote on November 2nd.
Yes this guy has a “right” to say what he said, BUT if men cant say their opinion on abortion then Europeans need to shut the heck up about what goes on over here (and Canada and Mexico and everybody else who survive only cause we help them). So my point is that yes he has his opinion but does it really matter? Not to me. And i dont think that we should waste our time on this topic anymore.
One final thought… Suzanne you and your friend both agree that our “Kids” are blasting away at anything that moves. Well sorry I couldnt disagree more. First off they aren’t “Kids”, I prefer such terms such as “Men and Women of Honor” or “Heroes” or even… “Troops”? But not “Kids”. Those Kids are the ones defending our freedom so we can sit here and state our opinions on this site and go through our daily activities. Second, I would like to give our Military more credit than “Blasting away at everything”. I think that they understand that they are not killing Osoma evry time that pull that trigger our bomb something. Normally I wouldnt be so picky on the use of words but I am very proud of our Military and get very defensive when somebody (who dosent even serve in the military) calls them “Kids”.
God Bless America, Land that I love…. =)
Suzanne Says: December 24th, 2004 at 7:32 pm
Well, guess this is in reply to 7-8-9 and 10
All of you have locked you minds into a closed minded redneck, back country, hilly billy.
Grow up. American is the greatest place to live, but we can not live in total isolation. Nor, would it be very smart to have every country in the entire world mad at us which could result in well you take a guess.
I never stated I was not or am not very proud of our Miltary, my daughter is over there. So do not put words in my mouth I did not state, I stated about kids shooting, this is a fact, this fact does not put down what they are doing in Iraq. Just a fact, nothing more nothing less.
Stop reading between the lines, and there is nothing there.
Next, the news, you have got to be either stupid, blind, or totaly unaware of what is going on, to not realize we are not getting the news, we are getting what is wanted for us to get. I don’t care if you believe this or not, time will show this is true.
Again, why don’t you stop trying to put everyone down except for those who believe exactly as you, Live in America, and do not question anything our government does.
As it is you who has the problem, a problem of misinformation. Complete lack of commen sense of reality.
I actually thought that someone would read the answers to that letter *please do not confuse the artical with the reply, two different people.’
But, it is clear, you all have shut the door to rest of the world, and can see just about as far as your nose sticks out.
Do I sound a bit Pi—- Off?
I am actually, it is not Europe who has made up their minds, it is people like you.
Keep those insults a comming, they make my day
Suzanne
Suzanne Says: December 24th, 2004 at 7:39 pm
Now, you Maverick, you are really going to get it. I actually though you could see deeper than just the surface, I am really dissapointed in you.
All I wanted to do, was to give Europe, or someone from overthere, the right to answer the very insulting open letter to Europe. What? we can insult, make fun of put down, any other way of thinking, but boy, when it come to the same thing going to you, What a difference.
All of you grow up. It does not matter if I, you, or anyone else agrees with Europes thoughts, the purpose was to know what their thoughts are.
Sorta important, I would say.
Just as it is important to know the thoughts of other countries south of Europe
Now, I feel much better, but you Maverick, you have not heard the last of this from me
Maverick Says: December 25th, 2004 at 4:10 am
LOL, umm Suzanne why are you mad? I thought we were friends? When you said “we can insult, make fun of put down, any other way of thinking, but boy, when it come to the same thing going to you, What a difference.” you know what my answer could be to that? I could just ask that same question to you. Why are you getting mad because somebody dosent agree with what you think is important? That seems just like what you were acussing everybody else of…. but no matter its ok I understand everybody will never agree on everything.
Umm and just because you think what Europe says is important, dosent mean everybody else in America does or should. Now I do care what other countries in the world think about us BUT, If they are thinking about the U.S a certain way and it is not true, then what can you do? Nothing. You just keep going on with life and dont get weirded out by what some Liberal in London is saying, because its obivous we cant change that gentlemens opinion on the U.S, so why lose sleep over it? I dont like freaking out about things that I cant change.
And by the way if we listened to all the other countries in the world, where would we be? This is America, we are the most powerful country in the world, we are the leader everybody else follows. Granted we arent perfect (not by a long shot) but I am proud to be an American and dont really care what France and the rest of those retreating wimps think. Sorry that I am proud of my country and dont think we should bow to everybodies little wimper. We are the trendsetter for most things good and the rest of the world follows and until something dramatic changes thats the way it is. One more thing, We have to look out for our own country first. We need to take care of the homeland so we can help other countries. And thats the main reason that I love Bush he bows to nobody (mainly the U.N). He looks out for the U.S. where as Kerry would be trying to please France and the rest of Europe. So whats better to have evrybody happy with us (which is impossible) and bow to the U.N and do what the rest of the World says we should do or be a stronger country and have some Liberals and brainwashed Socialists mad at us? I like the second option way better… but hey thats my opinion and I have ther right to be wrong, right? =) LOL I love this country…..
P.S.—– WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER! unless your a socialist guerilla….
Elise Says: December 25th, 2004 at 6:53 pm
Suzzane, don’t get so on the offensive! You are entitled to your belief. As for the news not being given to us straight, I happen to think it is not necessary to see the pictures of the prison abuses. I think that only created more problems for our troops. We can be told about it without getting graphic, but then that is war and that is America where even things that are bad are not only reported but gone over, and over, and over. I appreciate that your daughter is over there, and so because of that, I salute you and your family. This must be a terribly hard time for you. And frankly, I can’t say I blame you. So I will just leave with Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Suzanne Says: December 26th, 2004 at 5:13 am
All right everyone;
I am sorry I got angry.
I should not have.
Please forgive me, but actually it was not all due to any of you but included two crashed computers, so took it out on Laugh at Liberals.
Just one point, there was only one reason and one reason only why I put the Letter from Europe on my site, and announced it on this site. Did not mean I agree with all that was written, does no mean that I think it is all true. I thought I had left out any comments from me, but might have let a few slip by.
The reason I did that, or put it on my site, was after I read the Open Letter to Europe, and you must admit it was a bit insulting, and as I do have friends in Europe, I felt it only right to get their side. That is it, with the exception, I then thought that as politically informed people who visit this site, might be interested to see one man’s point of view in the UK.
I never said you had to agree, it is not necessary to either agree or disagree, it is only necessary that we know. That is the entire motive behind the Posting.
Now, again, I am sorry for writing such naughty words to those of you that I did, you did not deserve them, and hey,
I am “only a woman” and blond with that, so please forgive me.
OK

Ahh, apparently Suzanne, you are just as hypocritical as all your liberal cohorts. You tell everyone else to be open-minded when other people voice their opinions, but when you are disagreed with you get angry and lash out.
Now I’m going to be responding to several of your letters; I hope you don’t mind, but the responses I’m going to make will be in regards to several of your comments.
First off, europe (and I didn’t make a mistake in leaving the “e” lowercase, because I don’t believe they deserve to be capitalized) deserves EVERY bit of criticism that we can throw at them after their recent transgressions and illegal activity with the oil for food program. Furthermore, France, Germany, and Russia were providing weapons to Iraq illegally for either money or oil vouchers. They were secretly arming our enemies and they’ve armed and aided other terrorist countries as well. It’s NO WONDER they didn’t want us to go into Iraq and stop Saddam’s weapons programs (and yes they DID find proof of WMD programs they just didn’t find stockpiles) and his tyranny under which hundred’s of thousands of people were tortured, raped, and murdered. It’s interesting that liberals always side with the thug, murdering terrorist dictators and their allies like europe. I have absolutely no respect for europe, because of this. As another person mentioned; when we asked for their aid they were no where to be found, in fact they were against us. We don’t have any friends in europe except for Great Britian and Poland, just face it. And furthermore, we don’t need them. I would rather have enemies than fake allies that stab us in the back. I really hope you listen to me, because I’m trying to help you realize the truth.
By the way, you should have listened to the responder #7, most of, but not all, of the press IS extremely liberally biased. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, LA Times. I mean what do you call the phoney forged documents that Dan Rather put up on the news that he knew were fake. What about how the media continues to try to influence the outcome of elections with suppression of facts and false exit polling data. What about the fact that the media only reports what is going wrong in Iraq and not where we are succeding.
There are a lot of fronts and battles that we are winning in Iraq, and one of them is the battle for freedom, democracy, and eventually peace. Schools are open (now for WOMEN as well which wasn’t allowed under the last regime), Utilities are back and running, the torturing and killing has stopped. People are free. What is it about this that is bad? Everyday battles are being won over there which will bring us closer to a free republic. What is it about free-elections that scare you. Maybe because when free elections are held liberals/dictators/terrorists don’t win. By the way, as far as the death toll is concerned, we lost more people in one day of WWII than we have in all of the Battle in Iraq. I don’t mean to minimalize their loss, not at all. But the loss of American lives in this noble cause is the lowest in history.
Suzanne, the rest of the world doesn’t have to like us, but they WILL RESPECT US. The reason we were attacked on 9/11 is because our power and RESOLVE (more importantly) were no longer respected. This has now changed, and whether you like it or not we are much safer today because of it. You need to stop supporting our enemies that don’t support us. europe doesn’t support us, it is obvious with their actions. Many of the liberals in congress in this country don’t support America, it is obvious with the way they vote. Micheal Moore doesn’t support this country in fact he hates it! Stop endorsing the wackos and the fringe left wing. I hate to tell you this, but they are the reason why your political party continues to loose power. Please respond to what I’ve written with an open mind. Thank you.
Suzanne Says: December 29th, 2004 at 10:09 pm
Sean,
Either you can’t read, or I can’t write!
I reread everything I wrote, and nowhere do I state that I support any government except my government which is your government.
I did NOT state any feelings either pro or con to the war in Iraq, as we all know it was a “Must be done” thing, and like it or not, we had to do it. I never once stated otherwise.
I think all of you are no understanding the reply to the letter to Europe, Now, Sean; I am a bit fonder of many Europeans than clearly you are. But that is not the issue.
It is not I who is hypocritical, nor am I a Liberal. That which I posted was for reading and comments, it did not portray all my views, it was not a letter I wrote, I only felt, that as most of you had receive the Open Letter to Europe you should read the reply.
As to you feeling about Europe, so be it. It is your loss not.
Now to the comment about supporting our enemies, is the UK our enemy? Is Sweden a threat, or do you just consider any country that is not American a threat? Just wondering.
And to finish the comment, I aphorized for my response to several comments with an “I am Sorry” I doubt that you are in a perfect mood every day, well neither am I
I wonder actually who is the hypocrite in this situation?
YOU OR I
Suzanne
Sean Says: December 29th, 2004 at 10:43 pm
Suzanne, Suuuzaaaannne. read the 17th line in my response. I CLEARLY recognized Great Britian and Poland for their contributions and sacrifices in the Battle in Iraq. I’m afraid the only line you read and took away from my response was the first one. I also clearly asked you to respond to my letter reasonably with an open mind. Go back and re-read it line for line. I really think there were a lot of important points in there that you missed.
By the way, I will quickly respond to something you said in your response to me. Sweden is a socialist country. Sweden endorses big government and big government control. I don’t think Sweden is a direct threat to us, but in a small way they may be because they represent an economic and governmental system which is disastrous, failing or soon to be failing, and is completely contrary to our way of living. So are they a major threat no, not at all. But they represent a life and government that could be a threat to our way of life and government. I hope you know what I mean by this.
P.S.: I have an honest question for you, what do you consider yourself Liberal Democrat or Conservative Republican, or are you worse, are you a so called middle-of-the-road moderate? By the way I’ll take the second option…You can’t write. And I’m kidding relax.
Sean Says: December 29th, 2004 at 10:46 pm
One other thing I think I might mention to you Suzanne. I received the highest possible score on both my analytical writing assignments when I took the GRE for entrance into Graduate School. I’d say I have pretty good writing skills. Respond to this….if you dare.

Actually Sean, I am tired of this back and forth comments.
As I stated in a previous comment, The Reply from Europe was so anyone who was interested could read it. Nothing more nothing less.
So, I can not, will not continue this silly game.
Oh, one question I will answer, I am, have always been, a Republican as to being a Conservative Republican, I would more say I am a Republican, with a mind of my own. If a person does not agree with everything their government does, has little to do with their love for their country. Remember this is America.
Never am I in The Middle of the Road”
Now, I have a question for you.
Have you ever travled out of the country for any longer than a short vacation.
Lets start with that one
