WHEN IT SAYS LIBBY, LIBBY, LIBBY…..
Do you remember that old commercial jingle for Libby’s canned foods? It went like this, “When it says Libby’s, Libby’s Libby’s on the lable lable lable, You will like it, like it, like it on your table, table, table….
Scooter Libby’s name in the news so much recently made me think of it. I was scanning the radio dail around news time the other day and as I punched my presets each time the name Libby was the first thing I heard. I imagine if you went to a liberal’s cocktail party you could walk by any conversation and hear the word Libby 14 times.
Personally, I love hearing newspeople, pundits and reporters saying the name “Scooter Libby”. No matter how hard they try, they just sound foolish.
ANCHOR: “So tell us John, what’s the mood at the White House?”
REPORTER: “Well Bill, since Scooter Libby was indicted, W and Tricky Dick Cheney have been discussing a possible replacement. Names on the list include Skippy, Spanky, Sleepy, Doc and Dopey.”
Secretly I’m sure liberals are livid that Karl Rove was not indicted because you can sound so serious saying his name.
ANCHOR: So John tell us what’s happening at the scene.
REPORTER: Well Bill, I’ve never scene anything like it. Someone hit the dog, then backed over it, and then hit the dog again. One can only assume it must have been, KARL ROVE!”…back to you Bill.
I think Libby’s real name is something Irving Lewis Libby, which would make his initials I.L.L. That would be appropriate, but not nearly as much fun as Scooter. I hope his name becomes iconic political language, like Robert Bork. Remember when he was nominated for the Supreme Court? He was the first judge that the Democrats really persecuted by digging up supposed dirt and making it sound like some horrible character flaw. That has become known as “borking” a nominee. In Libby’s case, when he is found not guilty his name could become synonymous with any number of procedures. I’ll use them in context so you can see what I mean.
REPORTER: “Boss, I’ve got a great story here that goes all the way to the President.”
EDITOR: “This is not another Scooter is it?”
DEMOCRATIC FUNDRAISER: “How are we going to get enough money to fund these TV commercials.”
HOWARD DEAN: “What we need is a good Libby!”
The possibilities are endless! But if I were Scooter Libby’s defense lawyer I’d take it a step further. I would announce that Lewis ” Scooter” Libby is legally changing his name by adding the words “One Bad Motor” in front of Scooter and he will, from this day forward, be known as “One Bad Motor-Scooter”. I can’t wait for the news coverage.
ANCHOR: “Tom, what’ s going on at the White House?”
REPORTER: “Well Bob, the President and the Vice President are welcoming the return on One Bad Motor-Scooter….”

Buck, I want to comment on The french post but you’ve closed it down, So I will state my opinnion on this area.
I must say that the post is a new low even for you. what happened to “Helping People find Justice and the American way!” Oh, thats right, that only works if they work in our interests, france decided they didn’t want to get involved in a war as contravercial and long and dragged out as this one will turn out to be, so therefore they are unworthy of American aid, even though they Aided us when Katrina leveled the Gulf Coast.
Further more I dislike your Steriotypical comments about French Hygene. Show Some respect, These are people who helped us in a time of need, even when we boycott their goods and tarnish their name. Why can’t we do the same for them?

Do you recall that Sandy Burglar (President CLintons “National Security Advisor”) stole classified information by tucking it away in his underwear and socks and later said he forgot he had it on him.
Most elected democrats nowadays should substitute the (D) with a (H) next to their name. H for Hypocracy.
Good news, as I have said in many other posts, the truth ALWAYS prevails and the far left hasnt told the truth in many many years. It shows in every poll that has counted since 1994 (elections).

The French came to our Aid During Katrinia, if you might recall they offered us large amounts of food and water to distribute to Hurican Victims.
They offered Aid to a country that eversince the Iraq War broke out, has done little but show the same ignorant attitude towards them, as you have.

So basically, you have no facts and you want me to go investigate Bill Clinton. NO thanks. I am not into wild goose chases. There is nothing there. If he did anything, he enabled Bin Laden to continue his plans of terror. We were attacked multiple times under Clinton and the most he did was bomb asprin factories.
Here is what Bill Clinton did for our economy. He led us into the fastest, deepest recession in modern history and it took the Bold tax Cuts of President Bush to bring us out of it the QUICKEST IN HISTORY. He did it while entertaining the worst terrorist attack in history and while enduring the fallout of MCI WorldCom, Enron, ETC (All of which took place on Clintons Watch) Those are FACTs. Can’t be denied.
I am going to guess that you are one that blames Bush for the economy, even though the recession started PRIOR to him taking office. PRIOR TO HIM TAKING OFFICE. And let me guess your want everyone to beleive it was because the economy knew he was coming into office LOL. a $10 trillion economy turning on a dime!

He tried he Politics of the left and proved it DOESN’T WORK. 9/11 is your FACT that proves that. Well, since 9/11 President Bush led a overwhelming response that has stopped Terrorist attacks on our soil.
What we need to do is STAY the course and make sure that the politics of the left (cut and run and “diplomacy”) NEVER PREVAIL AGAIN!

so righty, Clinton led us into the “fastest deepest recession in modern history”?? He was in office 8 years, at the end of which we had a very large surplus. Now for us to have a surplus after 8 years even with Clinton’s “recession” well one would have to think that Clinton started his first term with some huge uber surplus that he could just piss away in the record time that you speak of. This implies that George 1 had said surplus at the end of his term, but then why did he have to raise taxes after his famous “no new taxes” speach that he caught all kinds of hell for?? He had to because there was no surplus until Clinton. Seriously, the fastest recession…but a surplus after 8 years…that it only took George 2 a few years to turn into a deficit the size of which we have never seen, that’s not a smart statement. Oh and your boy in the oval office has borrowed more money from foreign investors and banks than the previous 40 presidents combined. Now that’s what I call a fiscal conservative.

Guns and bombs are ineffective in a war of ideologies. We can only defeat terroism with ideas. We have to generate ideas that appeal to the hearts and minds of the arab world more effectively than the ideas of jihadists do. Killing arabs and other muslims increases the appeal of the jihadist movement to muslim youth and greatly enhances the recruitment for the armies of our terrorist enemies. I think that our politicians are finally starting to see the truth of this and most of the American public is starting to finally get it too. The “stay the course” (btw, stay what course? Flying by the seat of your pants as Bush has been doing. That’s a pathetic approach) is suicidal.

for 1, the insergency in Iraq has no way to preform terror attacks anywhere and never did, the weapons they have are stolen from unsecure aamuntion depo’s in Iraq.
2. Im assuming you don’t live in a costal state, because if you did, you’d know there are still terror cells poping up all over in the U.S, mainly in the costal areas such as Seattle, Portland, New York had one I think, etc…
You realize Al queda’s strategy has changed, they no longer WANT to attack the U.S, they want to attack our Allies such as spain, Brittian, etc… for the soul purpose of Isolating the U.S, which our current forign policy is doing a pretty good job of on it’s own.
3. You won’t get anywhere by attacking Left wing politicians for crimes. Because the same ploys can be used for republicans too, maybe you havn’t heard, but ALL politicans share a simular trait of lieing, stealing, minipulating, and obstructing to further their agendas. Lunchbox, you may need a lesson in economics 101.
First, lets get the facts straight. President Clintons administration “PROJECTED” a surplus. It had not arrived yet, it was only projected.
Second, The Taxes that President Bush 41 signed into law was a DEMCRATIC BILL. The DEMOCRATS ran congress back then and the only way Bush could get his agenda signed into law was to let the democrats also get their Tax Hike in. Then they stabbed him in the back in ‘92 elections.
Thirdly, The current deficit is no where near what it was back in the ’80s when you compare it to the GDP. Compare it this way. If you have an income of $10,000 a year and you owe $5,000. Now take someone that has an income of $100,000 a year and they owe $10,000. The guys that owes $10,000 owes more but has a much better ability to repay.
Yes, the deficit is $300 billion but the GDP is multiple what it was back in the 80s. Go research it.
Forthly, and most important, there is ABSOLUTELY no direct relationship between a surplus and a recession. President Clinton raised taxes in the early/mid 90s and it caught up to him. President Clinton did NOTHING with respect to the economy from ‘95 on. Corporate Scandals ran rampid.
In 2Q 2000 the economy actually took a steep dip to a recession. The recession started in late 1st Quarter 2001 (Bush took office in mid/late Jan 2001) Those are the facts. A $10 Trillion dollar economy doesnt turn on a dime. So to claim President Bush has ANYTHING to do with the Recession of 2001 is absurd. Only Bush Haters (10-20% of the radical left) believe that crap.
Back to the deficit being run right now…
Over the 8 years President Clinton was in office, he cut our military by nearly 50% while increasing slightly some entitlements (welfare, etc). This is EXACTLY HOW HE PROJECTED A SURPLUS. He Cut Military which is was 40% of our total Federal Budget.
Clinton almost ignored the build up of Terrorism and responded minimally when we were attacked. AND he continued to cut the Military. So…. Bush comes to office, 9 1/2 Months later we have a MAJOR Terrorist Attack that sends us to War. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE WAR. So guess what, we have a deficit.
If you are just a Bush Hater, then you will just ignore all the facts. I welcome you to research it yourself. They are facts and facts dont change.

First, I do not hate Bill Clinton. I do believe he was absolutely over his head as president and accomplished almost nothing. It was not his fault as that is what he had on his resume from his Arkansas days and this country elected him.

How do we know what gasses were in the air 650,000 years ago. That has to be the most ridiculous statement I have heard in a long time. Forthly, I do recall he jumped on the 1994 Republicans “contract with America” and signed their desires into law to reduce welfare spending. That was one of many morphs he did after the 1994 landslide elections (which have continued ever since)

Righty, fossil and soi8l samples can eisly determin the gasses in the atmosphere 65 million years ago, you just have to dig, and be carefull because it’s basesed on soil layers, for example, 1 layer may contain more nitrogen or oxygen than the other, or more carbon in the case of global warming and cooling.
