IRAQ WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE
The New York Times has leaked again. This time its using excerpts from the newly written National Intelligence Estimate or NIE. The Time’s premise is that the NIE states the war in Iraq was a mistake, has created more terrorists and made us less safe than we were before it happened.
President Bush is going to declassify the entire document and let us decide for ourself.
I have said before on several occasions, the war in Iraq was a brilliant strategic move in the overall war on terror. The problem we as conservatives face is that most liberals don’t think we are at war. If they did, maybe they would have some constructive arguments about how best to prosecute the war. You have to buy into the idea that we are in a war before you can have serious argument about Iraq. If we can agree that the war on terror is real, then lets talk about Iraq.
9/11 brought an ongoing war to our front yard. It was a wake up call to some that this was indeed a war and as history has shown time and time again, you cannot win a war by defending yourself. From the beginning of civilization to today, no war was ever won by defense. So after 9/11 we had to go on the offensive. But where?
The logical first step was Afghanistan. Which we did. We routed the Taliban and we’re helping to establish a democracy in a former state sponsor of terrorism. What next? Iraq.
The invasion of Iraq did two important things.
First, it moved the war out of our front yard, off our street and across town to another neighborhood. Our enemy, meaning the various terror groups and their state sponsors, are having to focus a greater share of their resources in Iraq than we are. If you want to know why we haven’t been attacked since 9/11 its because we’ve done a good job defending against attacks and we’ve gone on the offensive in Iraq and Afghanistan. Because of the nature of modern terrorism, Iraq is depleting the availability of resources to fight elsewhere.
Secondly, the war in Iraq is a planting a seed right were it needs to be planted. Iraq is right between Iran and Syria, the two biggest state sponsors of terror. The Syrian are ruled by a thug and the Iranian people are ruled by religious fanatics. A rising democracy in Iraq is a threat that Iran and Syrian cannot defeat. It will most surely mean the seed of democracy will start to spread and before long revolution in Syria and Iran will bring about an end to the harsh rule of its people.
We will never fully defeat terrorism because there will always be kooks with guns and bombs, but the modern Islamic-faciast terror movement can be weakened to the point that it can be best handled as a law enforcement issue. The problem with Democrats is they don’t want to do the hard work of war before that.
NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT HELPS REPUBLICANS
In the past I have written commentary about why I think the war in Iraq was not only necessary, but a brilliant strategic move in the war on terror. My basic logic, which to me seemed fairly obvious to any serious thinker, was founded on the premise that we are in a war. If you don’t accept that argument at the beginning of an debate Iraq, Iran, terror, etc., then you’re talking apples and oranges.
The reason I bring this up is because of the recent selective leaking of information from the National Intelligence Estimate by the New York Times. The tone of their story was basically that the National Intelligence Estimate a “position paper” if you will for the nations various intelligence agencies, clearly indicates that the war in Iraq has created more terrorist and made us less safe than we were before it happened. That is what the New York Times says, the NIE says. Since that story was published, President Bush has announced that he will declassify the entire document so the real story can be told. According to other sources the NIE actually demonstrates who central and important the battle in Iraq is to the overall war on terror.
This was a brilliant move by Bush and it pretty much negates Nancy Pelosi’s call for a secret session of congress to go debate the content of the NIE report. My next posting is going to be a conservative position paper on the war on terror. I welcome debate, input and critique.
THE ALIENS HAVE LANDED
There has been much speculation about a UFO incedent that occured on July 8, 1947. On that day an unidentified object, allegedly with five aliens aboard, crashed on a ranch just outside Roswell, New Mexico.
It has been speculated that this well known incident has long been covered up by the US Air Force and the federal government.
However, you may NOT know that in the month of March 1948, exactly nine months after that historic day, Albert Arnold Gore, Jr., Hillary Rodham; John F. Kerry; William Jefferson Clinton; Howard Dean; Nancy Pelosi; Dianne Feinstein; Charles E. Schumer; and Barbara Boxer were born.

HUGO CHAVEZ FOR PRESIDENT
Hugo Chavez would make a great Democratic candidate for president of the United States. He’s got experience leading a country and he hates George Bush. That makes him twice as qualified as Hillary Clinton. His outrageous comments at the UN were not any more outgrageous than some of the tripe uttered about Bush by liberals in this country and they reveal that he is on the same page with Democrats in terms of electoral talking points. I think he should run and Cindy Sheehan should be his running mate.
It’s a dream ticket! A dynamic Hispanic male with experience as a head of state and an activist female with an anti-war background second to none. She’ll bring a mother’s perspective to office and he is in a position to really do something about the price of gas.
All kidding aside…Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S. government. On a recent television broadcast he said the following; “Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century.” That broadcast was a state sponsored television program that he runs. His guest on that particular show, being beamed across Venezuela and other parts of South America, was Cindy Sheehan.
Chavez has also had Harry Belafonte as a guest. He called President Bush “the greatest terrorist in the world.” I think we have a prime candidate for Secretary of Defense. DEFENSE-O, ME SAY DE, ME SAY DE, ME SAY DE, DE-FENSEOOOOO,
I had to laugh when Rangel, Pelosi and other liberals chastised Chavez for his remarks. They said and done much worse and their supposed to be ON OUR SIDE! At least Chavez is honest about his feelings towards America. He doesn’t like us as the worlds super-power and neither do liberals. At least Chavez is honest aboutit.
By the way, Citgo gasoline, the gas you buy when you stop at 7-11 and Citgo stations, is owned by Venezuela and run by Hugo Chavez. 7-11 has recently announced they may drop their 20 year contract with Citgo, which is up this month, and start using American suppliers. GOOD FOR THEM! If you are a real patriot, you’ll drive by Citgo the next time you need gas and go somewhere else.
Scary Fundamentalist Liberalism
Fundamental Liberalism is a bad thing.
Anyone outside of the chosen pet groups or against approved chosen causes are targeted for mass harassment and persecution:
Chosen pet groups NOT to be touched:
-Homosexuals
-Religious left
-Victim prisoners (do NOT confuse these with prisoners’ victims)
-Every race except white
-Women (preferably non-white single moms) who can be used to further the Fundamentalist Liberal cause.
-Victim Terrorists (again, NOT to be confused with terrorists victims)
-Homeless who can be used to further the Fundamentalist Liberal cause.
-Illegal immigrants
Groups on which there is continual open hunting and defaming season:
- ‘Religious right’
- Anyone in the above ‘pet’ groups who will not allow themselves to be used in furthering the Fundamental Liberal Cause.
- Virgins
- White, middle to upper class males
- Republicans
- Anyone who dares to be politically incorrect (i.e. normal)
Fundamentalist Liberals are trained to be merciless. They stop at nothing (except the whole truth) to run down and obliterate any and all who don’t adhere to their beliefs. They allow only a very limited selection of approved religious references in public places. Those who can be paid off to lie for the sake of the Fundamentalist Liberal Cause are hired on various fronts to further the Cause.
By loudly, publicly and falsely accusing well-known people who won’t convert to Fundamentalist Liberal beliefs, many experience a major boost in their income as well as notoriety among this cults leaders. They find out too late that it is a fleeting popularity and must continually be ‘earned’ through recruitment and other ways deemed useful to the cause. Any damage to real persons reputations are considered necessary for the greater good of the Fundamentalist Liberal Cause. Media moles for the cause insure that any negative aspects of the cult are kept to a minimum.
Another tactic used by this cult is to infiltrate the schools via curriculum that teaches the tenets of their faith.
No references to unapproved beliefs are allowed. Such references require expulsion, judicial trial (preferably by a cult judge who will break any law necessary to further the cause), and, at the very least, re-programming to cult tennets. Reference to God is only allowed in ways approved by the Fundamentalist Liberal Cult. Anything other than “politically correct” terminology (as defined by the cult) requires re-programming or more severe actions, as deemed necessary by Fundamentalist Liberal appointees.
They have your children finger-printed and identified in their system. They point to “Homeland Security” as taking away your rights, while they are stealthily reprogramming your children to regard you as dull-witted, though well-meaning individuals who really have No authority in their lives beyond what is allowed by the child and approved by the Cult.
The people are not necessarily scary, but the mindset is. Watch for signs of it in your workplace, school, public officials, church and neighborhood. Be aware and don’t succumb. Don’t hate, don’t harass, don’t succumb. Teach your children the signs. Stand for true reason, not rationalization. Stay alert. Stay informed.
Fundamentalist Liberalism is a bad thing. Like all cults, it requires elimination of all who don’t believe or adhere to it’s tenets.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” Stay aware.
