To everyone saying that we shouldn't change 'tradition': I guess you still want slavery, then, because back when slavery allowed most slave owners believed it to be a tradition.

To everyone saying homosexuality is unnatural: We totally haven't gotten used to anything unnatural. Nope, never got used to air conditions or automobiles or anything like that.

If anyone is thinking/saying that gay couples will make gay children: Yes, we totally would. Because EVERY straight couple makes straight children, so of course children raised by a gay couple will end up gay!

we need to set some limits, freedom cannot be limitless it will ultimately destroy this country.

I know we should keep religion seperate from politics but you have to respect the fact that religious beliefs helped define the rights we enjoy

My whole take on this, and it's a stab in the dark just my opinion because I don't really care too much on this subject but I look at it 2 ways:

1. It's your choice - without religious pressure - ultimately as Americans we have our freedoms.
2. Sometimes we need limits to our freedom, becuase as Americans we always like to challenge our limits.

For me it gets really tricky because the big questions will ultimately be "If it's okay for them, then why not us."

Why is it okay for gay marriage but not okay to marry multiple wives. Why is it not okay to marry my sister, ultimately they are choices and yes they have extremes but ulitmately they are choices and the law because it want's to be impartial might not be able to make the differance.

Look at life, every thing starts of innocent enough all of sudden women are walking around half naked and guys have their pants down to their ankles (talking about fashion - which too is a choice)

My point we need to set some limits, freedom cannot be limitless it will ultimately destroy this country.

I know we should keep religion seperate from politics but you have to respect the fact that religious beliefs helped define the rights we enjoy today.

Lastly, I don't hate gays, my opinion is based upon the question of what limits we shoud have on our rights...

Liberals say they want to save people from AID's but they have no problem with people having anal sex and will defend the act. If liberals love homosexuals they would tell them to stop but they won't. They would rather use it as a political football even if people die from AID's. Liberals are void of logic. This is just one example. They also have a problem with logical progression and outcomes.

I know AID’s is spread not just with homosexuals but lets start with the most at risk group.

I don't believe in gay marriage. Only polygamy. How else am I supposed to catch up in the number of wives that Giuliani and McCain have.
"Vote Romney 08"
I'll change our history books to include the lost tribe of Israel found in St. Luis at 500 AD. They rode around on horses fighting Indians with swords and shields and stuff. Really!!! Man this underwear is itchy.
Hell if Bush can convince the GOP to support the Iraq war than I must have a shot at the primary.

Well, I can't say I've had it all that hard, not as hard as someone who is gay and only had ONE option. For me, I'm a little more attracted to the opposite sex than the same sex but even so, I've given in more than a few times. It's this incredibly strong feeling that's very diffcult not to act on. I'm faithful in relationships though, never had a problem with that. I'm married to someone of the opposite sex and I'm very happy. It's not to say that I don't feel attracted to other people but I strongly believe in being honest and faithful.

If I were gay I'd definitely live my life as such...I think it does more (psychological) harm than good to suppress your true nature. I'm just saying logically speaking same sex is not what we're designed for. Very few people know about my bi side. I've certainly never shared that with my parents even though I've known since I was a child, before I had any clue what sex was, I knew I was different. There's no way I could ever ask anyone to lie about their entire life and who they love, to deny who they love to the world and pretend that person doesn't exist. But I'm willing to admit that I'm different, that when I have been with the same sex I was stepping outside of the box. My feelings don't match my logic....what can I say?

I suppose you would be attracted to someone that was the same sex as you, know it was a sin, but couldn't help it. It's got to be hard, you just got to try to ignore it I suppose. Thanks for ending this blog Voiceofreason, SSM was getting old.
