Who do you think you are?!!
I am really getting sick and tired of hearing about the Illegal immigrant situation in this country. This is my country, I was born and raised here and not in some other country whose government is not capable of taking care of its own inhabitants.(well at least I am an American!) But anyhow ,If you were born in another country and you come here illegally then you have no legal right to demand anything what so ever of my country, What you need to do is,Go home and protest there for jobs and better living conditions! Because your situation will never change for the better until the people do something about it themselves. Did anyone ever figure that out!
Yes, The real problem is not in America. It is in the other countries,who’s citizens are living in poverty and under oppression and decide to come here to make a new life.Thats the plain facts and its that simple. So when someone comes into my country demanding to stay and work here with out the proper protocol (It’s called a work visa.),Then I would say, that person is out of their mind and I don’t want their kind here. And when I say their kind, I am not generalizing on any one specific race or ethnic group , I am talking about anyone in general,who is in this country illegally and thinks that this country owes them something. This kind of thinking is totally unreasonable and is a direct result of desperation and irrational behavior. It is not my fault that their government might be corrupt or cant provide for it’s people (sound familiar) Or that the crime rate is out of control( I’m on a roll). You see, I am working at a job that does not provide any health coverage benefits what so ever, and I don’t get any free medical care. So I can’t afford to get sick….and I mean that literally. I am 55 and I have been working for the past 12 years part time as an art teacher. I suffered from a ruptured disk in my lower back about 15 years ago. I tried to get free medical attention and was denied. so I went for years with chronic back pain. I was taking pain pills and muscle relaxers which did more harm than good. I eventually got off them but,I then turned to marijuana and alcohol. Which believe it or not worked wonders. So I had to fend for myself because of my lack of insurance, and I still am. I earn about $14,000 a year and I simply can’t afford to go to the doctor or see a dentist.
(As a matter of fact, I am still paying on a overly charged medical bill of better than $3.000 from an emergency room visit from over two years ago, But thats another story..)
So you see, not all Americans are sitting on easy street. We can do the jobs that immigrants do, But there are some people that don’t want to do that kind of work, what ever it may be.That is their right, And if someone wants to out source those jobs that is their right, as long as they go through the proper channels and do it legally. Because the one underlying problem in this country, are the greedy, unscrupulous employers who take advantage of these people in the guise of pretending to be helping them out.
And I know this to be very true,being that I had worked in an orange grove picking oranges, many many years ago and I know it is a hard way to make a living. But, the fact remaining is,illegal immigrants are exactly that! Illegal…….Consider this, If you are a citizen of this country and you do something illegal,then you stand a great chance of forfeiting your rights and facing incarceration and or fines which could affect ones livelihood,not to mention losing everything you own. Its what they call the law. This should also apply to anyone who enters this country illegally as well. I would like to know why is it?! That this is so hard for anyone to understand! As far as I’m concerned, it’s non-debatable.
So….! when you come here to America with out a visa, in search the American dream, so to speak! I say! kick your ass out now! But if you do it legally and not have such a belligerent attitude, Then I have no problem, As long as you pay the same taxes as me and pay for your own medical care as everyone else does. Because when you come over here and march around and protest like it should mean something to the American people,all you are doing is insulting us! AND I am not alone in feeling this way!
This is written in plain English!..hmmmm! Maybe thats the problem!

Republican Debate. What did you Think?
This debate is a little more lively than the previous one, probably because it is being hosted by Fox News instead of Chris Matthews and company. My favorite moment came early in the debate. Former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee won favor and chuckles from me when he said (paraphrased):
We’ve had a congress that has spent more than John Edwards in a beauty salon.
This may not qualify as one of those knock out type debate moments, but it certainly broke the ice.
Giulani pretty much knocked out Ron Paul when he questioned his statements that implied the U.S. brought September 11 on itself. Ouch!

Rep. David Wu proposes Dilithium investment
In a press conference yesterday, Democratic congressional representative David Wu proposed a special tax on energy companies to fund research into dilithium crystals. He says that the recent United Nations report on global warming has prompted him to use his knowledge of extra-terrestrial chemistry to find a solution.
“Some people call this idea crazy. Some even say that dilithium doesn’t exist. I tell them: ‘dare to dream.’ What if Kirk had given up hope in season one episode 22, Space Seed, and let Khan take over the ship without a fight? What if Captain Kathryn Janeway had not fought what was undoubtedly incredible prejudice in the Starship academy to become the first female Starship Captain?”
Representative Wu suggests that because Spock, in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, discovered a method of re-crystallizing dilithium using by generating high-energy photons to regenerate the element, dilithium would provide a renewable and clean source of energy we can share with the world.
Although presidential candidates haven’t weighed formally committed to the idea, many environmental groups are on board, saying that anything that takes power away from the oil industry is OK by them.
Rep. Wu gained fame for comparing president Bush’ administration to Klingons.
