A great story, and yet, the liberal media hasn’t made it their top news. This is the first I’m reading about it. Strange…you would think that the hyprocrisy of a party who claims to be so “green” (was’t that their theme?)but throws away thousands of American flags would get HUGE media scrutiny! Hmmmm…I wonder if the shoe was on the other foot…it would probably be plastered on the front page of the New York Times and the evening news would run it over and over again until we all wanted to vomit.
There were two sides to this story… yeah, the flags probably got thrown away. Or they were bundled up to be used for something else. I do love how McCain immediately scooped that up and waved it in everyone’s faces as if to claim that democrats weren’t truly patriotic. Maybe Obama has something with that ‘fake patriotism.’ I didn’t wave the flag after 9/11 either. It was too easy. That’s what the government wanted from us…. they wanted us to all forget why these things happen and just wave a flag. The flag is not what I pledge my allegiance to. It’s my country, my people, and this planet. Some things are deeper than colored paper on sticks.
And I’ll bet there have been plenty of Republican conventions where flags have been thrown out over the years. We don’t hear about it because no one else had picked them up and used them as a campaign stunt.
