DON’T COUNT OUT THE CLINTONS JUST YET

Is it possible that Hillary could still get the Democratic nomination? Unlikely, but possible.
Is it possible that Hillary could get the Vice Presidential spot? That’s a good question.

Hillary Clinton has yet to fade away and give Obama the clear presumtion of being the nominee for the Democrats. In fact, in this YouTube video of a Clinton question and answer session with supporters, Hillary alludes to the idea of not giving up the fight until some conditions are met. This is a very informative video that touches on some of the unique aspects of party politics that could keep Hillary in the picture, not just for the Vice Presidential spot, but for the top spot on the ticket.

What if Obama has a major gaff or controversy spring up between now and the convention? Conceivably, he could still lose his delegates. They are only committed to vote for him on the first ballot. The super delegates could change at any time. So what if Obama loses his luster by the convention? Two things could happen. Hillary could emerge as the delegate leader on a second ballot or she could insist on the VP spot and instruct her loyal delegates to vote for Obama, thus ending the controversy.

Hillary still holds a lot of good cards that, if played right, could get her right where she wants to be or right next to it. Stranger things have happened and in this crazy election year, you can’t count out the Clinton political machine just yet.

  1. I am convinced that Hillary will either attempt to steal the nomination, or at the very least, sabatage Obama’s campaign. If she does the latter, she can run in 4 years. If her people are talking to McCain’s people, she could guaranty McCain the White House if he announces that he will only run for one term. This would almost assuredly give Hillary the election in 2012.
