Although I agree with Ann most of the time, I find her to be too harsh and abrasive to be effective. I think it’s ridiculous that Ann, Rush and other Republicans would say they would rather not vote or vote for a Democrat if McCain is their choice. I don’t necessarily agree with McCain on a lot of issues, but he is still better than the alternative…Clinton or Obama. I, for one, have not given up hope and faith in Huckabee and am still planning on giving him my vote.
Newt Gingrich gave a great talk at the CPAC convention. He mentioned that conservatism is a movement strong within (yet not exclusive of) the Republican party. Seemingly he urges all of us conservatives to be reminded of the fact that there are many important votes (State & Federal Legislature) and to treat those with as much import as the Presidential election. Therein lies the depth and longevity of Conservatism.
Tyra—I was a Romney fan….I disagree with McCain on practically everything. But at this point (since the NH primary has come and gone) I hope and pray for the success of Huckabee. Since his nomination is beyond my control, if Sen. McCain gets the nod….he will also get my vote. I will also pay far more attention to the no less vital votes which elect the NH rank and file legislators.
