MIKE HUCKABEE: THE MOST IMPORTANT MAN IN AMERICA

Right now, at this moment. Mike Huckabee is the most important man in America. Why? With a virtual dead heat between McCain and Romney going into Super Tuesday, Huckbee holds the key to victory for either candidate.

CNN’s exit polling from the Florida primary showed Romney and Huckabee competing for many of the same voters. Social conservatives, evangelicals, people concerned about the economy…several sub-sets of voters are splitting between Romney and Huckabee. That’s the only reason John McCain won Floriday. In fact, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the McCain campaign is trying to figure out how to funnel some money to Huckabee’s campaign to keep him floating through Super Tuesday, giving McCain an easier path to victory over Romney.

On the other hand, why isn’t Mitt Romney on the phone with Huckabee right now offering him the Vice Presidency or large sums of cash to pull out. Huckabee out of the race would probably put Romney over the top on Super Tuesday, but it looks like Huckabee is staying in and staying the course.

Of course, you can’t really count Huckabee out right now either. If by some miracle he gets an influx of cash into his campaign, he could use some well placed media to turn Super Tuesday in to the ultimate “kissing your sister” political event of the century with McCain, Romney and Huckabee all hitting the second week of February in a virtual tie. I don’t think Huckabee has or will raise the money to win, but a decent showing on Super Tuesday, winning one or two states and placing in a couple more, would put him in an incredible position going into the Republican convention, Hucakbee the King Maker!

If Huckabee is smart, and I know he is, he is in this for the long haul. He knows the Republican establishment is against him and without them, he can’t win. BUT…if he can build enough of a power base in these primarys and parlay that into a key position, even the Vice Presidency on either a McCain or Romney ticket, then 2012 could be the year of the Huck.

All that adds up to make Mike Huckabee the most important man in America.

  1. Dear Huckabee supporters!

If you want Huckabee to get his far share of news time let your voices be heard. We need to bombard the networks with emails. We believe Huckabee can still win! Stand up for what you believe in and stop letting news decide the candidates!

    A place to start:
    hannity@foxnews.com

Don’t stop at TV shows, email newspapers, family, friends, and senators too! Go Huckabee!

  2. The only possible way 2012 could be the year of the Huckster is if he runs where he belongs on the Liberal ticket…where he will lose to a conservative candidate.

We KNOW his true record and no amount of whining will alter what he has done and said.

  3. That has to be the dumbest thing i’ve read all week. This man is a joke and so is his record. sorry my vote doesnt get wasted on a religious leader. i still believe in the seperation of church and state. You would be kidding yourself to believe this guy could walk that fine line.

    Ron Paul Voter.

  4. I completely agree. I think that Mike knows that he can’t become president, as he has fallen behind in so many races. But he knows that his power base hasn’t voted yet, and will not vote until Feb. 5th. At that point, he can come into the convention with a strong position, and will most likely the Vice Presidency.

So, I think a lot of conservatives should ask themselves: Who will be the best compliment to Mike as President? Honestly, I don’t know. I like both John McCain and Mitt Romney. Both have great presence, both have great positions. Both will make a great President to Mike’s Vice Presidency.

And, of course, both could beat the stuffing out of HIllary, and give Obama a run for his money. ^_^

  5. Actually it should be Romney dropping out of race and run as vice president on Huck’s ticket. that will be a Win-Win situation not just for them but also for america.

  6. That all sounds great except neither McCain nor Romney are true conservatives and lack of good characters. Both are angry men ready to bite others’ heads off.

A Huckabee-Paul ticket will look much better off.

  7. Mike to the END to WIN …

This race is just starting. Dont be too surprised if Mike Huckabee doesnt win half the states on Super Tuesday. GA is par with FL on delegate count and he has a double digit lead. Predicition: Romney will not take the South, his run will come to end after Super Tuesday. Then, Mike will slip pass McCain with WINS in most states after Super Tuesday. Mike to the END to WIN !!!

  8. That is an interesting point of view. I think Romney is likely to pick Huck as his vice presidential candidate, but I can’t see McCain doing that.

  9. Have you read up on Huckabee???… He is a “snake-oil salesman”

  10. Kathleen,
Yes I have read up on Huckabee and as a resident of Arkansas during much of his tenure I’m amazed at how his record has been distorted by the conservative establishment. Unlike talkshow hosts, pundits and leaders of “think tanks”, govenors have to actually govern and make real world decisions. To paraphrase the old axiom, those that can govern do, those that can’t get radio talkshows.

The link you posted was filled with nothing but opinion and red herrings. Where’s the beef?

For one, Phyllis Schlafly, said this about Governor Huckabee: “He destroyed the conservative movement in Arkansas, and left the Republican Party a shambles.”

Phyllis Schlafly is wrong! The Republican party in Arkansas, a weak sissy boy compared to the Democratic party, was responsible for it’s own undoing. They never supported Huckabee. The Arkansas GOP has been nothing more than a lobbying firm for Wal-Mart, Tyson & J.B. Hunt and they’ve done little in the way of building a grass roots organization for the state.

Most of the other reasons for not liking Huckabee are red herrings. He didn’t appoint conservatives, he needs the validation of elites, this guy said this, that guy said that…WHAT? WHERE IS THE BEEF!
You should go to his web site, http://www.mikehuckabee.com and read Huckabee’s own words, instead of listening to what somebody else says.

  11. its amazing how the media plays such an integral part of this campaign. whether its the blowhards on talk radio demonizing huckabee or mccain for not being conservative enough or the news networks not paying attention to edwards and pretty much derailing his campaign, the media is playing a much too important role. the field of nominees was so large this cycle that the people had many options to chose from. however, when the media choses a candidate and neglects or even unfairly disparages others, its wittling the field down without any imput from voters. and that sucks, the media sucks.

  12. This is amazing how people beleave in the
“family values” that huckaby (and other republicans (since he lost the campain)) stands for. The last thing we should be doing when we have messed up healthcare, under funded school systems (this effects me personaly im in high school), a horrible economy, are in a messed up pointless war, and face a new stronger al’ qaeda (im 14 and i can spell that better then bush problably can) because we invaded the wrong countries is trying to get rid of gay marriage. Many Republican Conservidives are gay them selfs but are so homo-phobic that they compensate by being as anti gay as possible. The thing is that the chances of the so called “bible” being anything more than somthing a bunch of schizophrenic people wrote are slim. I do admit that might have been alittle bit of an egsageration but you should get the point

  13. Dear Repubsaredumb,
On this site, we don’t normally call people out for bad spelling and errors in grammar, but since you made it a point of your post to compare your spelling to Bush’s, you should have probably polished your posting a little further.

That aside, your rantings sound like those of a 14 year old with a lot of fire and only a little knowledge so let me enlighten you on a couple of things.

First of all, on education, since that affects you personally. Which would you prefer, to be forced to stay in the same school you are in now or the right to choose which school you can go to, public or private? Republican’s want to give you the right to choose which school you go to with vouchers. These vouchers would allow the tax dollars alloted to pay for you education to be used at whatever public or private school you liked best. Democrats on the other hand don’t want you to be able to choose. They want to throw more money into the education system you’re in now. Any for the record, education is not underfunded. The problem is to much of the funding for education goes into bloated bureaucracy and administration, thanks to the NEA, which supports Democrats because Democrats keep funneling the money into their pockets.

And the second point is the “so called bible” as you put it, is the most scrutinized collection of documents in history. It has stood the test of time. You should try reading it sometime. In it, you will find comfort, guidence and truth.

And here’s an intellectual question for you to ponder. The Bible says that God, an omnipitant being that we cannot fully comprehend, created the universe. Science says the universe was created by a big explosion. Which explination do you find more plausible and why?

  14. I’m very scared if an actual 14 year old wrote this…If so, our future is sad indeed. Please get a dictionary next time and write in complete sentences so the rest of us can read and interpret your rants. Thank you.

  15. Huckabee? A man who wants to lead the Federate flag but supports the confederate flag? The most important man in America? Sure… I mean it IS your blog!

  16. Our Pastor, Jeff Hawkins, would like to have contact information for Mike Huckaby. He would like to extent and invitation for him to come to our church to speak.

    Jackie Hyde, Secretary to
Pastor Jeff Hawkins, Belmont Baptist Church, Calhoun, GA (706) 629-2466

  17. Dear Buck,

Privatization of public schools has been tried, as has privatization of prisons, and both ended up being MORE expensive and the schools with lower academic achievement scores.

As for the Bible v. Science. Leave religion to the Bible and the Big Bang to science. Are you telling me that “heaven and earth” were literally created in six days? That God literally created one man (Adam – from dust) and one woman (Eve – from a rib) from which we are all descended? Do you also handle snakes and drink poison to prove your faith because the Bible says to? I don’t have a problem with the Bible, except when a literal interpretation is taken to an extreme, or if it is used for political or scientific ends.
