LET’S LAUGH AT LIBERALS
When the world seems mad, when ACORN offers mortage advice on a brothel for underage Honduran hookers, when a global warming protest gets cancelled because of snow…just laugh. Come here, share it. A liberal comment on it and make us laugh even harder…SO GO, LAUGH!

Seems immoral, doesn’t it? We have built a system that places value on everything except human well-being. All of our various “special interests” (our stances on everything from energy to abortion to tobacco) are each represented in Washington in a piecemeal fashion. But still “You” have no representation as a human being. Our system treats us just as a hodgepodge of fractionated special interests but has no interest in us. Why do we put up with it from both parties and the army of lobbyists? In 1996 David Korten published “When Corporations Rule the World.” We are experiencing, first-hand, what Korten was talking about and Buck, you are on the losing side of the corporate balance sheet. I am genuinely sorry and I hope things change. I am not optimistic, though. Obama is just behaving like a more intelligent version of Bush. But he is managing a corrupt SYSTEM.

Well Buck, I’m probably one of those “conservatives who own rental properties” you were talking about I DO work closly with my banking partners. I try very hard to see things from their perspective. Having said that, I really have a hard time seeing your banks reasoning here. There are lots of brokers nowadays who actually rent furniture to put in homes. The feelings are that a lived-in home sells better than an empty house. In fact, there is a trend in many places such as Florida, where realtors and sellers are looking for people to live in houses to help sell them! So, having you there would actually be seen as an advantage by many people. The house you are in is more secure than an empty house. Insurance is actually cheaper on an occupied house. It is common to allow 30 days for you to move AFTER the sale is made. Sounds to me like you are dealing with a jerk. Is there anyone over their head that you can deal with? What is the name of the bank. Given their actions, I would think some FREE advertising would be in order (one advertising guy to another). If it is a chain, there made be a board elsewhere with whom you can better deal. At any rate, I would be interested in having a contact number and in hearing some details of the property sale.

Bummer. Your bank is an idiot.
Bill Says: April 9th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
Why did you take out a loan you couldn’t afford? It’s people like you that are the cause of the economic problems we’re facing now.
Bill Says: April 9th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
Who’s laughing now?
Zack Says: April 13th, 2009 at 1:34 am
Yo Bill, read it again…..slowly this time.

My apologies. Looks like this buffoon wasn’t even capable of owning his own home! Bet he’s a teabagger too! Of course he makes more than $250,000 a year!
Rob Says: April 27th, 2009 at 7:08 am
Zack I get Bills first point it has been all over FOX news. Basically how giving loans to poor folk is the cause of the banks failures.
Which may have a ring of truth to it but for the most part it situations like Buck is in that has also caused these problems through little or no fault of his own or even his bank. I’m sure his credit was good etc what banker in his right mind wouldn’t have given Buck a loan unless that banker had miss cleo on the line and knew of the impending financial hardships in Bucks life.
This economic downturn that’s been happening for several years has caused a lot of problems. Which in part is a consumer issue when people buy less, production slows, then people lose hrs or jobs, ETC. its a cycle that’s harder to reverse the worst it gets
High energy costs over the last 8-10 years forced a lot of people to tighten their belt, which also didn’t help matters any.

So, what was your position when other people were losing their homes? Did you give a shit or did you look down on those “losers”? You remind me of Rick Perry, who talked about Texas seceding from the Union at one of your teabagging parties a couple of weeks ago and just yesterday asked the government for flu shots. If you’re part of the party of personal responsibility, take some.

The Buddha’s Words on Loving-Kindness
This is what should be done
By one who is skilled in goodness,
And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech.
Humble and not conceited,
Contented and easily satisfied.
Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways.
Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful,
Not proud and demanding in nature.
Let them not do the slightest thing
That the wise would later reprove.
Wishing in gladness and in safety,
May all beings be at ease.
Whatever living beings there may be;
Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,
The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,
The seen and the unseen,
Those living near and far away,
Those born and to-be-born,
May all beings be at ease!
Let none deceive another,
Or despise any being in any state.
Let none through anger or ill-will
Wish harm upon another.
Even as a mother protects with her life
Her child, her only child,
So with a boundless heart
Should one cherish all living beings:
Radiating kindness over the entire world
Spreading upwards to the skies,
And downwards to the depths;
Outwards and unbounded,
Freed from hatred and ill-will.
Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down
Free from drowsiness,
One should sustain this recollection.
This is said to be the sublime abiding.
By not holding to fixed views,
The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision,
Being freed from all sense desires,
Is not born again into this world.

Recessions always follow Republican administrations.
so are you gonna be a dem now that you are poor?
Cameron Says: July 8th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
i think its so funny how people say that republicans are sooo RICH when democrats are soo poor! but i live in idaho and pretty much everyone is republican, and woah! were not all rich! people are poor, middle class, and there are some rich people. now lets look at california, pretty much everyone is democrat, besides about a million conservatives that no one likes, and all those celebrities out there, look at all those rich mother fuckers! hmm, i wonder what those guys are, just a guess, but i bet they are democrats, whiny, little democrats.
democrats are also hipocrats saying how they are so poor but then say right back on making fun of republicans on how they talk funny with a redneck accent. what little faggots! and since im on a role, i officially hate all democratic television! (which is pretty much all of it) because they wont stop talking about how sad everyone is that the king of pop “micheal jackson” is dead. god daing, im moving to canada! this country is a lost cause…
Kaiser Says: August 1st, 2009 at 3:46 am
I would assume that most of america is middle class. Correct?
djDie-0-Logic Says: August 4th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
there are many studies that compare the wealth distribution and political party affiliation. the results are that the poor are mostly Dem.
Kaiser Says: August 5th, 2009 at 5:10 am
Huh. Well, I guess that’s kind of understandable.
djDie-0-Logic Says: August 18th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
Dems are also the majority, younger, and often too busy to vote (the 18 – 35 demographic). Rep constitute the older retired who vote in higher percentages.
I can’t believe I still visit this site.
Kaiser Says: August 19th, 2009 at 5:34 am
Hey, Cameron. I’M a conservative republican in California! Ass-u-me.
I’m not sure why I still visit it either, djDie-0-Logic. No one else seems to, not even the author.

Well, I still swing by because he was a pretty funny guy and as a liberal… I mean a progressive, I liked to check in to see if you guys were learning anything during the last couple of years of the Bush thing. Lessons that I thought were pretty hard to overlook.
I mean even if the torturing of POW’s doesn’t turn your stomach and are happy to give up freedom in the name of “freedom,” it’s damn hard not to see that deregulation of utilities and financial institutions is pretty much cutting a bear loose at a picnic. Not to mention government spending like the country had never seen before.
It’s an awful thing to lose your job with so many people depending on you. And I suppose he may just have more important things going on than this blog. But it’s also possible that he reviewed the situation that this new-conservatism has landed us in – realized that the guys yelling the loudest are really saying the least and is thinking that maybe those liberal clowns have a couple of good ideas after all.
I know it’s a slim chance – but it’s possible. Especially with all that family and no health insurance.
Good luck, man. Hope we see you back here soon – liberal or not. Progressive, I mean.
Celumnaz Says: September 15th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
Liberals are still idiots, Conservatives are still jerks… fight all ya want, the money-masters don’t care.
Don’t care if it’s socialist or capitalist either. Just fight, so interest can be collected.

Sir Winston Churchill
In 1775 we were a colony, in early 1900 we became the most powerful nation in world. We became the richiest country in the world and the leader in every single aspect of modern life. Our industry was second to no one, we rebuilt Europe after WWII, Japan ,etc. What we did to accomplish that? What has changed? Answer that and you will know what our problems are.
