I had to read this story twice to make sure I got it. Uber-Liberal Rep. Dennis Kucinich is suing the cafeteria in Capitol building for $150,000 for serving him a sandwich containing an olive pit. Click here to read the full story.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Kucinich filed suit because when he bit down into the sandwich and the olive pit it caused “permanent dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgical and dental procedures,” the legal documents say. The suit asks for, “damages for future dental and medical expenses and to compensate him for pain, suffering, and loss of enjoyment.”
The suit says all this happened on or about April 17th of 2008, which is funny, because according to the story, the damage apparently didn’t keep Kucinich from appearing on Fox News on the Neil Cavuto show on April 24th, just one week later.
To me, this story is liberal thought personified. Here is a man of priviledge and power, a man who’s livelyhood is funded by the taxpayers, including the never-ending benefit of totally free health care for the rest of his life, and he is suing for $150,000. I don’t care how much gold you stick on your grill, you won’t spend $150k.
I don’t know if the Capitol building cafeteria is a privately run business or it is taxpayer funded, but it doesn’t matter. He is in essence using taxpayer money to sue the taxpayer for losing a tooth.
Man up.
What are the American people to do? The people elected to “represent” us are the biggest threat to us.
Think about that too long and a rice paddy in a small village hidden away in China sounds better and better! They’re on their way up and we are self-destructing.
By the way, the missing tooth picture is not real. I just couldn’t resist.
Future dental and medical? But, but, but he doesn’t pay anything for medical and dental!!! Isn’t that fraud?
And isn’t this suit automatic? Does anyone really think he won’t get it?
It’s like these guys are swimming in a pool filled with hundred dollar bills. Splashing it out everywhere. “Grab as much as you want, just make sure you have an excuse”.
