buck...its amazing how conservatives seem to forget the record use of the filibuster in the senate by republicans. that means that 60 votes is needed to pass bills that republicans don't like which is nearly impossible...and the affordable care act was watered down by republicans and conservadems to get the needed 60 votes. the kicker is that all republicans have to do is say they are going to filibuster without any effort...and reid didn't help by not changing the filibuster rules.

the private sector has been creating jobs...albeit low paying jobs. how has Obama been an abject failure? by creating millions of jobs after turning the economy around? he entered his first term losing 600,000 jobs per month and is now the economy is creating 100,000 jobs per month.

no, you cannot ignore another fact about the economy...that it was in free fall when Obama started his first term. the current deficit is based mostly off of bush's policies and the economy has had to recover from bush's terrible policies. placing everything on Obama's shoulders is disingenuous especially when he has been trying to turn things around with the jobs act (which you didn't mention) and other job creating measures that have not been able to garner 60 votes.

Obama still has much to do but to ignore the positive steps that the economy has taken is not fair and to ignore the republican's only goal of taking down Obama is to not address reality.

Hey Other Side. Thanks for the compliments on the site. I hope it is more user friendly.

On your comment, You managed to hit all the standard talking points. I'm always amused at how the Republicans are to blame for stalling or blocking or hindering Obama. They've had control of the House for only two years. They are the minority party in the Senate. If they're so good at stopping everything, why do we have Obama Care?

The only jobs Obama can create are government jobs and that sector is faltering now because of falling tax revenues and the deficit. The private sector creates jobs and the most the government can do is create an environment where they private sector feels comfortable doing it. By that measure Obama is an abject failure....and in closing...It's going on 5 years since George Bush was president. At some point, you got to take ownership of the economy.

you realize that obama has already proposed a jobs bill which included investment in infrastructure that was stalled by the house republicans. and he has created millions of jobs since the bush recession so its not like he's doing nothing. house and senate republicans keep obstructing obama from doing anything. just because there are ideas out there that you don't like doesn't mean that there aren't ideas being tried.

nice new layout of the site.

Deer Tee Party Supporter, "The Occupiers are right that the people should have the power, they’re just to stupid, or to indoctrinated to realize that giving more power to the government is taking away power from them and putting it in the hands of the rich." First: We, as in you and I, have forfeited our power by not making more demands on our elected officials [aka the government]. As an Occupier, I don't want to give more power to the government. I want them, the government, to get their hands out of the pockets of the rich, quit serving the rich corporate corpses, and use the power they have been granted to best serve all of us.

Second: What you really need is a good dose of English grammar instruction.

To vs. Too vs. Two

To, too, and two are very distinct, different words, yet they seem confusing to many.

To:
“To” is a very simple word, used in a variety of contexts in a sentence.

It can be a preposition, e.g., I went to the market, Hold on to me, I ate to my heart’s content, etc.

It can be used as an infinitive verb phrase. For example:
I had to let go

She sat down to think.

You ought to respect the rule.

Too:
“Too” is also a very simple word that simply means “also”/”in addition, “in excess,” or “extra.”

“Too” is an adverb.

Examples:
“I want to help,” said Piglet. “Me, too,” said Pooh. (Meaning= also)

That diamond ring is too expensive. (Meaning = excessively)

I love you too. (Meaning = also)

The trick is to remember to use “too” (with an additional “o”) whenever the word should mean “in addition”. For all other usages, however, use “to.”

Example: Teddy is going to eat a pie. Shelly is going to eat a pie too.

Two:
“Two” is a number, commonly written in words (like all other numbers) if it is mentioned in single digit. It can be a noun or an adjective.

Examples:
I have two children.

The number she chose was two.

The vendor has two more shops to visit.

Sentence with to, too, and two:

Sarah wanted to go to the beach. Paul wanted to go, too. So, the two went together.
